There are often a few tell-tale signs that I've struggled to get a picture - you get an orb or a twirl or...one of my cameras!
Now, I do feel justified in showing off this one as my daily photograph because I only got it today and (I think) it was a real bargain! I've admired the Sony RX100 range since they were launched/released back in 2012 and they cost around £550. You can still get them new for £299. Since this original version there have been (so far) another 6 verdions released with the latest model (the VII) costing £729 new (down from its original sale price of £1200).
You can see a bunch more shots of the camera on my blog here - markseton.co.uk/2021/04/09/098-365v4-camera-porn/
Back to normal street photography with the little Nikon Coolpix A. I think the camera is showing it’s age in the high ISO department as far as colour noise/grain is concerned. I think it is good up to 1600 but stretching it after that. All in all it’s still a super camera which fits in your pocket. The main feature I like is the Nikon colour it produces which I have always liked.
As an extra comment the modern Nikon D3500 camera is better than this camera which is not surprising considering the age difference in design and technology.
This image was process in Adobe Elements 2019 and further tinkered with in Adobe Photoshop Express.
Threw a roll of long expired Vericolor II type S in a point and shoot camera on a summer trip to disneyland. Since the film was non DX coded the Canon sure shot read exposed it at ISO 25 which turned out pretty well for a 30 year old film. developed at home in the Unicolor kit from Freestyle

This is an image I have had sitting around for nearly 6 months as I couldn't make up my mind to reject it or not. I'm gutted I miss composed the shot, just a bit too low and right, chopping the guy out. But, I just love the style of the guy sitting down, cool as you like, drinking a Bloody Mary.
This frame also shows just how great the glass is on the tiny Olympus XA. A nice sharp image with good contrast.

Quite by chance these two frames were side by side on the roll of film … joined at the hip … and that’s how they can stay.
