Shot during plantery conjuntion shoot and cudn't resist messing with playing with light - still need practice!

This is a very funny experiment that we tried. It is called Painting with light... In absolutel darkness you start shooting with looong exposure and the object is lit by a moving torch. This is what happens in the end:)

Playing with light - magnetic ball bearings & bike lights

One strobe to the camera right through a diffuser brolly, second strobe above her head fired into a reflector to give some rim light. Could have done with a third strobe to light her face better.

 

My wife said she looks too plastic and the jokes and laughter started again. I know the trend is to go the other way and clean up skin, anyone got some Photoshop techniques to ADD realistic skin texture into a portrait?

I liked the sunlight reflecting on the clouds and trees just before sunset. Sunset March 6.

A Slow Shutter Speed and a Fluorescent Light were used to achieve this effect

This is from one of those vertical tubes with bubbles and changing colour lights lighting them

Updated version of PointyThing now controled with an ESP32 and Adafruit stepper controller board, rather than Arduino Uno. It's writing the light with Neopixel LED and has sensors on the stepper motors to find home positions. Makes setting up much easier.
