Strobists: Nikon SB600 held camera left, a little above mattress height, set to throw a tight beam. Also, as this is my first submission: hello!
Originally prepared to enter the *Challenge You* group activities.
Made with a blue led, drawing "in the air" (in front of the camera), with a 8 seconds time exposure.

It's late, and I can't seem to turn off again. I could watch tv, or I could stand under a light in my kitchen wearing a bathing suit and a bunch of jewelry.
The very earliest of stages of a new project, they normally end up completely different but its about something emerging from the dark... a realisation about a part of a person we thought we knew.
I've had to lighten them up because most uncalibrated monitors are a little dark.
kinda liked this from the other night when i took my hydrant pic...it's just a long exposure that i did while following headlights and moving the camera up and down a bit. goofy fun, that's all :)

This how I did the series of experimental pics taken by casting a shadow of a wine glass half full of maderia wine onto a sheet of white paper. I really like the mix of shadow and refraction - I noticed the effect while taking a photo of the refraction pattern of the glass on the paper below.
Learning new techniques on a digital camera course. Signed up to get me out of the house on these long winter nights.

D is for... Damsel in 'Dis Dress.
What a busy day. I tried to get all my homework done, but by the time I got home it was so late. I did get some shoes for a wedding on Saturday, though. They are little golden speckled flats. Inexpensive too... Thank you, Payless.
Random Fact: I'm ready for Spring. I'm also ready for April break. 7 more weeks.
Christmas in New Jersey means all the kids and their favorite tita (that's me!) sleeping over at my sister's house.
The kids and I were up until 3:00 AM making all sorts of silly photos.
More to come.
After our new LED light stick arrived on Friday we have been itching to get it out of the box, fired up and see what sort of results it can produce in long exposure images - this is the second of four test images shot tonight in the living room of my house.
Looks damn good and we're looking forward to having some fun with this new toy out on location soon.
My camera for tossing is pretty hurting at this point. The lens and battery compartments are being held on with electrical tape. This image was taken by tossing and allowing the camera to land very near or on the light source.
a camera toss of the timer of my cranium game
Another test for homework. I just love the effect of the lens and viewfinder. :) I had so much fun doing these!
This photo wasn't taken in broad daylight. Two external flash units used. (One flash was a huge Nikon, something back from the late 1970s, with an old school "synchro shoe" that depends on the light emitted from the main flash (my Canon Speedlite)). Nifty fun.
As for the chocolates, they're divine. They're made at their workshop, in the Flatiron district, a day or two prior and it's special ordered. They do sell in other retail shops but rarely their boxed chocolates.
Happy Valentine's Day!
