The very earliest of stages of a new project, they normally end up completely different but its about something emerging from the dark... a realisation about a part of a person we thought we knew.
I've had to lighten them up because most uncalibrated monitors are a little dark.

Fireworks that look like fingers of flame - taken at the firework display at i-esa 2007 in Madeira. This is one of the very few images I've photoshoped - to remove the (very juddery) moon from the background.
Bridalveil Fall welcomes the visitor into Yosemite Valley. It is one of the most prominent waterfalls in Yosemite. It runs yearly although not always at full capacity.
The Ahwahneechee Native American tribe believed that Bridalveil Fall was home to a vengeful spirit named Pohono. Pohono guarded the entrance to the valley and those leaving the valley who looked directly into the waterfall would be cursed. Where the waterfall took life, it also gave life. The Ahwahneechee also believed that inhaling the mist of Bridalveil Fall would improve one's chances of marriage.
