vegan food masquerading as meat, complete with sneakily worded menu.
I tried the "pork" and "chick'n". not good.
Had a "Yo Egg" sunny-side up vegan egg on half of a toasted English muffin and it was really delicious!

Why veganism:
We went to Urban Beets for breakfast this morning. It was delicious! Mike had the Sun Up Ciabatta, I had the bagel sandwich, and we shared a strawberry lemonade iced tea. We’re looking forward to our next visit already!

I made a few swaps / additions...feel free to experiment!
We had a great little table outside to dine at Piante Pizzeria, looking toward the mountains.
Update- they are no longer a fully vegan restaurant as of 2025. Such a shame!
Rowan found a new pizza he really loves! Blackbird Foods Pepperoni Pizza! I tried it too and it's delicious! It has vegan cheese and Beyond Plant-Based Pepperoni! We got it from Orii and we're finding it's difficult to keep getting as the pizza sells out really fast whenever they get new stock! Apparently we aren't the only ones enjoying this pizza!
I had this for dinner & for lunch the next day and it was deliciously satisfying. I used tahini sauce as salad dressing, my absolute all-time favourite !
The falafel balls are made of chickpeas, sweet potato and lots of spices pulsed in a food processor. Rolled into small balls and turned in sesame seeds. Baked in 240°C for about 30 minutes. Yummy !

A 100% vegan cafe in Wauwatosa. A co-worker of ours visited here the other week and told us he had the best reuben he’s ever had in his life (he’s not even vegan and said it ruined him for all other reuben sandwiches).
Mike had the cauliflower po’boy & mango smoothie and I had the nachos. The food was excellent and we’d definitely eat there again. They use whole food ingredients and make some delicious goodness with them!
Hey guys! I have a new recipe and video on my blog and channel! It's for a delicious summer slaw with nothing but plant ingredients aka whole foods. It's so healthy and delicious.

On the way back from Yosemite, I stopped and bought my groceries. Here they are
(There are 7 more apples that are not in the picture)
What other food is in my kitchen now?
In the first pantry there are: one box of cereals, olive oil, Oatmeal, Date Syrup, Peanut Butter, Beans, Seaweed, one bag of raw almonds, Salt, Condiments,
In the second pantry, there are 20 kinds of herbal teas (for different health problems) and 2 bars of plant-based chocolate
In the refrigerator there are: Ginger and Turmeric roots, Soy sauce, one jar of Shredded Horseradish (homemade), Tamarind sauce, Cashew cheese, a plant-based butter, one glass bottle of a homemade plant-based milk (walnut)
In the freezer: one plant-based vanilla ice-cream and few bags of frozen fruits and stir-fry veggies
I don’t have any medication in my house, except for a First Aid Kit where there are 4 Tylenol pills and a tube of Aspirin.
My medicine is my food. If I have a health problem, I play with food by eliminating salt, processed foods, sugar, fasting, drinking more water, eating more of this and less of that, drinking herbal teas, eating raw fruits only.
Let's Roast Favas:
Step 1: Preheat your oven to 400 F. Hull the beans. Cook the favas as you normally would- I boil for 20 minutes, cool and then you are set, no need to peel off the inner skins.
Step 2: Drain cooked beans, and empty out between two layers of paper towels to pat dry. Arrange in a single layer on a foil-covered baking sheet.
Step 3: Drizzle with olive oil, or other high smoke point oil of choice, and toss lightly so that they’re all evenly coated. Roast for about 15 to 20 minutes or until golden brown and crunchy. They’ll change in color before they’ve fully crisped up, so check the texture before you pull them out. Be careful; they will go from perfect to burnt very quickly. Cook times will vary slightly depending on your oven.
Step 4: Toss roasted beans in spice(s) of choice, and enjoy! I used salt, pepper and chili powder.
