Total of 34 seats in the passengers section of this combi plane. Front portion had been used to transport cargo. June 9, 2014.
Here I was, flickring away, when I became dimly aware of the sound of propellers. They approached, then receded. I realized it must be a military plane, for the VE Day ceremonies. I went to the window, and saw a large plane lazily making its way across the horizon. It slowly started to bank, and gradually it dawned on me that it was going to make a second flyby, and it was coming my way. I dashed for my camera, and these shots were the best I could manage, as the bomber glided right over my apartment.
We are 58.5 nautical miles away from YHI. Don’t know what the other numbers are. February 8, 2012.
