Tupolev TU-154M c/n 85A-706 operated by Hemus Air taken at London Gatwick Airport

Before heading over to the University of Washington for the Academic Business Library Directors meeting, I did a bit of plane watching at SeaTac. I went over to South 188th Street - near my hotel - to view planes take off from the airport. Taken on Tuesday morning, May 8th, 2018.

Oakden Baptist Church Planes day.

On Saturday, the Cedar College oval transformed in to a model plane spectacular as more than 270 people, including 140+ kids, from all around the community came to participate in this very special family event, running over 4 sessions.

With help from mums and dads … kids assembled their very own rubber band powered planes … to then challenge each other for the longest and most accurate flights, displaying amazing tricks and aerobatics … we had an absolute blast … awesome fun!

We had rubberband driven planes, paper planes, remote control planes, stories about planes and distance and accuracy challenges.

New Story Time To Go now available. Fly high. Fly low. ZOOM! For counting practice, fly five little airplanes around the airport one at a time, land on the runway and park in a numbered hangar. Dip cotton balls into white paint and dab onto blue paper to make clouds, and add a plane to fly amongst them. Use an airplane and the Airplane Flying Adventure book to practice positional words: Fly BEHIND the couch; OVER the books...
