Fort DeSoto Park is in St. Petersburg Florida and has this beach on it's northern most tip. Now that the holiday season is coming to an end, the last migration of snowbirds are arriving by car, train, plane and motor home. This is when Florida is in full swing, the restaurants are full and it seems everyone is busy. However, if you know where to go you can still enjoy a sunset with tranquillity and peace. And after the mad rush of the holiday season that's just what I plan to do. A little food for the soul.

On the 10th April 2014, Emirates operated a special flight using an Airbus A380 instead of the usual Boeing 777 from Dubai to Glasgow and back again to celebrate ten years of flight between the two airports. I went to see the plane as it came in for landing at Glasgow Airport. Also in the set are some of the other planes that arrived and took off from the airport.
P.S. I know that from 17th April 2019 onwards to date, Emirates operates an A380 to Glasgow Airport as part of a regular service. These pictures are not from that time. To reiterate in case this isn't obvious and for future viewers, these pictures are from the special flight that Emirates operated to celebrate the 10 year Anniversary of service between Glasgow and Dubai.

There was a guy flying a remote control plane over the playground at the park on Thursday. It was pretty cool.
