My good friend Al loaned me his 14mm 2.8 Sigma, I thought it would be interesting to see the difference between my Dad's Sigma 10-20mm (on the KP).
Both edited with RNI Velvia 50, interesting to see the different colour casts.
A pleasant waterfall in the Allt na Drochaide burn, a tributary to the Water of Ruchill, Glen Artney.
This was the first, and so far only, time I've felt the urge to invert the tripod's centre-column and dangle the camera millimetres above the water. In the process, I discovered a bug with the Pentax K-1: if you use live-view upside-down, the image inverts itself correctly but all the settings controls (histogram, etc) do not. It's tricky enough wondering where the control dials have gone, let alone where the numbers they control are to be found on screen. D'oh!
First roll in a new compact camera, exposes well and has a nice sharp lens, though no ability to manually override, automatic DX film speed which can't be adjusted.

Focus Shift + Pixel Shift
I personal favorite of the series
I only used about 50 Focus Shift Images each with a 32-image pixel shift were captured in camera. Each of the pixel-shift images were combined and then exported as a 16-bit TIF (1.09GB) each of the 50 TIFs were then brought onto Helicon Soft stacking software. The software automatically stacked the TIFs into a single file that had the desired part of the frame in focus. That stacked image was brought into Photoshop for resizing and final adjustments.
My home was built in the 30s, as a simple wooden cabin, cheaply made. It was then updated in the 70s. It is quite small, this is the back wall with its only window.
Although I think the most beautiful shots of falling snow are with a fast shutter speed and flash, the slow shutter look also has an appeal. I like the image stabilized lenses for their ability to do that without a tripod.
Just over 1x lifesized. Pentax K-1, DFA 100mm macro on extension, pixel shift resolution.
52 stacked images in a single stack.

Note: my images are processed to appear correct on a calibrated, professional grade colour-accurate monitor set to Adobe RGB output / 6500 K temperature / gamma 2.2. Many consumer grade screens (particularly mobile phone screens) at default settings will display these images with too much saturation and contrast, so please bear this in mind when viewing on such devices.

More evidence that Portra does not age well... this 2008 400NC ended up having the colors of Ultramax on steroids. After a badly needed black and white conversion, it looks a bit like T-MAX P3200. This was a test of a newly acquired monopod for handholding the heavy Sonnar lens. I really was pushing it at 1/30 with the teleconverter, most of the shots had some shake.
