Had a small flock of these sharing the same pine tree with the Golden-Crowned Kinglets. Not too bad for ISO 12800, highly cropped!

Sunset over a cotton field in Lowndes County, Georgia, at one of my favorite spots, behind a little country church. A little afraid of rattlesnakes, I drove my car through knee-high grass to the edge of the cotton field, listening to Tchaikovsky's 4th Symphony on the car radio. Decided to brave the snakes and fire ants and other critters, and got out and walked amongst the cotton rows, now blooming with red flowers that change to white. In a month, the drive between Valdosta and Moultrie should be a sea of white cotton, fringed with tall pines, like this one.
Our camera club challenge this month is Home. This was taken out the window of my home on a rainy winter day.

I wondered where I put my peppermint stick.
Many thanks to all who understand, "the senior moment".
Please LOL!
4/30: Something green
This challenge is hard in the winter, because the sun goes down so early! The day slips away so fast.
My last photo from the ice storm.
Some are were still without power earlier today as many tree branches fell across power lines.

This is the second of two volunteer pine trees which had grown on the north side of our house. The weather was great to make the transplant, and Sunday's rain showers came at a great time to help them get established. Now to watch them grow.
Calving away here, have not had much time to play with pictures, but I did snap this one at sundown this evening. The sun seemed to light up every pine needle in sight. Hope you all had a great day!
I was just heading home to fix lunch for Hadley, and I glanced back. This guy was a terrific surprise.
