Pine trees in our yard with snow.

Sometimes you give a little.

Sometimes you snap.

Sometimes you just have to start again.

After sawing off many lower branches and towing them away and digging out bricks from around the yard, this happened. Now I need some hostas.

"My residence was more favorable, not only to thought, but to serious reading, than a university; and though I was beyond the range of the ordinary circulating library, I had more than ever come within the influence of those books which circulate round the world, whose sentences were first written on bark, and are now merely copied from time to time on to linen paper."

for our family. Our beloved Pine tree died and after a couple of Arborist checkups they said the tree was gone for good. Sadly we had to have it removed.

This huge tree was one of the main reasons that Claude wanted to buy our house. I still remember him calling me and telling me that he was putting in an offer to buy this house because there was this humongous beautiful pine tree in the back yard. It was love at first sight.

My husband and I and all of the creatures that lived in this tree are saddened to have to say goodbye.
