I vecchi dicono : Dio è ovunque !

Otto ore sotto terra, senza luce, senza sole, senza cielo

2020 Vision...Sight is very important for most lizards, both for locating prey and for communication, and, as such, many lizards have highly acute color vision. Most lizards rely heavily on body language, using specific postures, gestures, and movements to define territory, resolve disputes, and entice mates.

Sevilla 21/2/2009

Kachina has a sad look on her face - Venus just left to go home.

she might also be sad because of Sarah Palin's quest to kill the wolves of Alaska.

if you all would be so kind and sign this petition...

In just five days, Governor Palin's Administration

slaughtered at least 84 wolves near the Yukon-Charley

Rivers National Preserve using helicopters, spotter

planes and high-powered guns. And with denning season

beginning soon, defenseless wolf pups and their

families will soon face death from deadly snares and

poison gas in and around their dens.

senseless killing... they even want to gas the wolf dens to be sure to kill the cubs.

how would Palin feel if her family were gassed...

I wish for Gov. Palin, the dreams of screams of wolves - I hope they haunt her day and night. It wouldn't even make up for the sad loss these wolf packs have suffered.

AND

while I'm on the soapbox I'm going to continue with this subject.

March 24th was the 20th anniversary of the worst environmental disaster of North America.

The Exxon Valdez single hull tanker caused 11,000 sq acres to be covered in oil.

Did the news stations mention this ? NO!

The mainstream public has no idea the consequences of this spill, the effects to the animals and the residents were devastating.

I read this story... one of the best accounts of what happened, or should I say - what did not happen, that should have.

the response to the oil spill was a joke.

from The Alaska Dispatch

on that page I noticed a showing at a local movie theatre,

and watched this trailer... it made me cry.

Black Wave - The Legacy of the Exxon Valdez

The Valdez sails again under a new name, after millions spent for repairs - but still single hulled.
