There's a park in Bellingham called Whatcom Falls, and in the creek below the falls is where I took this photo. An old piece of ??sewage?? pipe with mold growing on it contrasted so beautifully against the green of the water...

Happy birthday Malaysia...16th September is a very important date to remember by Malaysians of all walks of life, religion and race. Malaysians, especially in my state, Sarawak, celebrates it's 50th Anniversary sine joining Malaysia in 1963 last Monday. We have seen many bloodshed and hard times in the course of our history and has developed into a prosperous and harmonious state in the whole of Malaysia.
To commemorate this auspicious occasions a Parade do was organised and was officiate by our King, Sultan Abdul Halim.

Last week our club had a field day alongside other local photographic clubs, 150 in all turn up for the annual shootout involving 14 finalists of the beauty pageant. at the Sarawak Cultural VIllage.
This annual event will have its grand final showdown held at the same venue on the 29th of this month...So watch out for the updates!...enjoy!...

La Basílica menor de Santa Maria o Església Arxiprestal de Nostra Senyora de l'Assumpció, està ubicada a la plaça del Congrés Eucarístic de la ciutat d'Elx i construïda en estil Barroc entre 1672 i 1784 i en ella hi van participar diversos arquitectes entre els que es diferenciava el castellonenc Jaume Bort i Melià, autor de la façana barroca de la catedral de Múrcia.
Les obres es van iniciar el 1672 sota la direcció de Francisco Verde, succeint-lo Pedro Quintana i Ferrán Fouquet. És un bon exemple del barroc espanyol.
Aquest edifici presenta diferents estils arquitectònics, des del barroc italianitzant de la façana principal, el rococó de les altres portades i la girola, el neoclàssic de l'interior, fins a les reminiscències medievals. Elx (Alacant) 4/4/2009
