The Province of Batanes is the northernmost and the smallest province of the Philippine Republic, both in terms of population and land area. The provincial capital is Basco.
The province is composed of ten islands, called the Batanes Islands, located about 162 km north of the Luzon mainland in the Luzon Strait and is part of the Cagayan Valley region in Luzon. Of this island group, the largest and most economically important are Itbayat, Batan and Sabtang.
The Batanes Islands are separated from the Babuyan Islands of Cagayan Province by the Balintang Channel and from Taiwan by the Bashi Channel.
The northernmost island of the province, as well as of the Philippines, is Mavudis (Yami) Island. The other islands are Misanga, Ditarem, Siayan, Itbayat, Dinem, Batan, Sabtang, Ivuhos, and Diadekey.
Only Itbayat, Batan, and Sabtang are inhabited. The Batanes is about 190 kilometers south of Taiwan.

Have a great week!!!
Forsythia is pure joy.
There is not an ounce, not a glimmer of sadness or even knowledge in forsythia.
Pure, undiluted, untouched joy.

Characteristics...The peacock pansy and the grey pansy are more common near water bodies. The underside of this butterfly is paler with faint markings.

If looks can kill......These are my favorite spiders. When you have attracted their attention, they follow you with their big eyes. They are friendly little creatures that always like to jump on your camera or your fingers.
Their life in the warm radiation of the sun have produced a variety and coloration not matched by any other spider.

Nostalgia...Established in 1936, St. Theresa's Primary school was the oldest Catholic missionary schools providing education for the poor living in and around the Kuching city at that time. This is the school where I've received my early education and every year the Headmaster will asked me to become their Photographer of the day, an offer I couldn't resist...Enjoy the few series my friends... !!!...=)

Is this what called the "Akash Ganga"(the celestial ganges)? Is there a Bhagheerath standing in penance to receive this cascade of cloud on earth?
The dance of Mother Nature performed on a vast stage, the sky, just in front of my house one fine morning. I felt infinitesimally small before her.
Survival instinct...If both parents perish, the ensuing intensive begging sounds of the young will often attract replacement parents who feed the young until they can sustain themselves. They start feeding themselves partly after one or two days, and sustain themselves completely after 7 to 10 days, 14 at the latest.

Poor vision...Caterpillars do not have good vision. They have a series of six tiny eyelets or 'stemmata' on each side of the lower portion of their head. These can probably form well focused, but poorly resolved images.[3] They move their heads from side to side probably as a means of judging distance of objects, particularly plants. They rely on their short antennae to help them locate food.

It is one of the best preserved and most beautiful structures on Curetes Street. It was built before 138 A.D by P.Quintilius and was dedicated to the Emperor Hadrian, who came to visit the city from Athens in 128 A.D The facade of the temple has four Corinthian columns supporting a curved arch, in the middle of which contains a relief of Tyche, goddess of victory. The side columns are square. The pedestal with inscriptions in front of the temple, are the bases for the statues of the emperors between 293-305 CE, Diocletian, Maximian, Constantius I, and Galerius; the originals of the statues have not been found yet.
