I saw my first damselfly of the season the other day and I followed it around my neighbour's garden until it decided to stop. Thank you stevenhouse and larigan for telling me how to tell the difference between a damselfly and a dragonfly.

Been waiting for this light to appear again for almost 3 years: "spotlight" of the sun hitting the foreground and the sky of rain-heavy clouds in the background. This late Sunday afternoon all happened again, the same and different atmosphere. When I took the photo below I was in a haste, jumped out of the car in a hurry and then back again but today I could relax and walk among the old houses for a long while...

The fires in Northern Cali have affected the atmosphere for miles around.

We frequently get orange hazy sunsets and sunrises. Can't help but think of the people that put their lives on the line for others, we should be thankful. Hope everyone is OK.

I've made three trips to Ferryland this summer to get an early morning shot of the lighthouse. This was the first good morning and, after meeting 3 moose on the road, I arrive to see they are painting the lighthouse. Looks like one more trip this fall. I have several from this trip I'll post over the next few weeks.
