The sun has yet to strike the mountains on the horizon as the excess of magenta shows. Things happen fast though and the color doesn't last long.

Inútilmente interrogas.
Tus ojos miran al cielo.
Buscas detrás de las nubes,
huellas que se llevó el viento.
Buscas las manos calientes,
los rostros de los que fueron,
el círculo donde yerran
tocando sus instrumentos.
Nubes que eran ritmo, canto
sin final y sin comienzo,
campanas de espumas pálidas
volteando su secreto,
palmas de mármol, criaturas
girando al compás del tiempo,
imitándole la vida
su perpetuo movimiento.
Inútilmente interrogas
desde tus párpados ciegos.
¿Qué haces mirando a las nubes,
José Hierro?

. . better known as Wat Arun (or Wat Arunratchawararam Ratchaworamahavihara Thai: วัดอรุณราชวรารามราชวรมหาวิหาร to give it its full name).
Taken from the opposite bank at 200mm zoom (equivalent to 300m on 35mm), 1600 ISO, at 1/40s f5.6.
One from the archives that has been patiently waiting to be posted ;-D This is added to my Wat Arun set; I'd love you to visit.

Took this one on Tuesday this week but due to work commitments, havent had time to review. It certainly was a pretty stunning morning but unforunately I chose I location which didn't really suit! But anyway, I got a couple of snaps so here is one. A Single exposure using a Cokin GND8 for the sky.....and Yep... I got wet. Actually got a couple of nice water patterns at this position and chose this one but I may post another at a later date.
Thanks for looking as always!
I was impressed by this sunset, real dramatic skies!
