Photograms using primary-source photography in a dark room environment, imagery utilises both landscape and portrait photography.
Photograms are made many different ways, this one was done by placing different objects (Tic Tacs, a necklace, macaroni, Froot Loops) onto a sheet of photo paper and exposing it for 8 seconds and then developing the print.
ARTIST: D.K. GAUSLING
This is one of my IB visual art pieces. Photogram of flowers. I am always cheerful and glowing, and I also have a mild and flourishing side. This piece feels very relaxing; like swimming under the pool of flower.
Items placed directly on photosensitive paper in darkroom, exposed on light from enlarger and developed as a chemigram.
Solanaceae is the name of the nightshade family, to which the tomato belongs. The scientific species name for tomatoes, lycopersicum, means "wolf peach", and comes from German werewolf myths. These legends said that deadly nightshade was used by witches and sorcerers in potions to transform themselves into werewolves, so the tomato's similar, but much larger, fruit was called the "wolf peach" when it arrived in Europe in the 1500s.
