PHOTOGRAMMMM
My hands smell like chemicals. Second day of photography class.
My computer dislikes the scanner so you get a grainy, crappy, cropped picture of it. YAYYY
Made using Inktense and watercolours used on watercolour paper, with Acrylic paint pen pattern details. Technical drawing cut-outs made of tracing paper. Silhouettes filled in with thin black card.
Inspired by combining two projects together- The printed bottoms have been inspired by edited photograms of a wire lampshade frame, and the pin-tuck shirts were developed after studying the linear pattern found in the original photograms, and those that were edited. These linked as the lampshade frame could be thought of as a found object and the monochrome theme of photograms slotted well with the multicoloured tie jackets and plain white shirts. The use of line as surface pattern (prints on the trousers and shorts, pin-tucks on the shirts and the contrast of the ties when placed next to each other) is another way the three garments are linked.
