This weekend I:
* Watched my Mum get married!
* Delivered some impassioned crazy dances to Gene Pitney with my brother
* Took charge of my temporary new ward (Poppie)
* Farewelled my Mum as she went off on her honeymoon
* Ate Pineapple Lumps and watched "Source Code" and "Limitless"
* Loved the rain
* Saw Rob's deliciously cute step-nephew
* Spent my entire Sunday in pyjamas
* Drank lots of hot chocolate
* Worked on a big presentation I have to make on Wednesday
* Slept in like a teenager
I never do what I'm supposed to do. I spend most of the time I don't spend on those things regretting that I'm not doing them.

Ominous-looking clouds over North Wales today. There was an horrific rainstorm not long after I took this shot
Most. Disturbing. Voicemail. Ever.
So I was in a meeting this morning, when I got a call from a number I don't know. I let it go to voicemail, and then listened to it a few minutes later. (This photo is a re-enactment, but I'm pretty sure about the facial expression.)
Anyway, it was clearly a wrong number, as the caller addressed a 'Julie'. He then went on to explain that he's dying, and would Julie please get him to the hospital?
What would you do with a voicemail like that? I couldn't just ignore it like I usually ignore calls from wrong numbers, so I called him back. When he picked up, I explained the situation, and was rewarded by having the phone loudly slammed down on the other end.
Here's a WAV of the voicemail, so you can, uh, enjoy it too.
I mean, WTF? This whole thing made me sick to my stomach for a few hours.
we all met up with Raine this morning for our own personal walking tour. first we visited the famous Infant Jesus of Prague, which is housed inside a church. we weren't the only ones there to see him, i guess many people make religious pilgrammages to Prague just to pray to this infant doll. afterward, we made a pit stop at Starbucks for some warm holiday drinks before heading back out into the cold. we walked across the Charles Bridge again and this time it was very crowded and full of artisan stands. after some photos on the bridge, we walked down to the John Lennon wall for a photoshoot and to each write our own musings on the wall in gold sharpie. Brit, Mahala and i met up with our tour guide Filip again for a tour of the Prague Castle. it's interesting because the towers you see from the city actually belong to the enormous cathedral up there and not the castle itself but is still considered a part of the whole. again, we listened to so many intriguing histories of Prague while freezing from windchill on the hilltop. after our tour, we met back up with Raine and grabbed dinner at the corner restaurant, Meduzzy's. i ordered gulas, a typical Czech meal. after relaxing for only just a little bit, we decided to go check out the five-story club called Karlovy Lazne, the largest club in Europe. it was a very fun night to finish off the weekend in Prague.
