A Fobello nacque Vincenzo Lancia, fondatore dell'omonima casa automobilistica.

Postprocessing RAW:-- lights and saturation
---

Prague (English pronunciation: /ˈprɑːɡ/; Czech: Praha pronounced [ˈpraɦa] ( listen), see also other names) is the capital and largest city of the Czech Republic. Nicknames for Prague have included "the mother of cities" (Praga mater urbium, or "Praha matka měst" in Czech), "city of a hundred spires", or Stověžatá Praha in Czech and "the golden city" or Zlaté město in Czech.[4]
Situated on the River Vltava in central Bohemia, Prague has been the political, cultural, and economic centre of the Czech state for more than 1100 years. For many decades during the Gothic and Renaissance eras, Prague was the permanent seat of two Holy Roman Emperors and thus was also the capital of the Holy Roman Empire.
Today, the city proper is home to more than 1.2 million people, while its metropolitan area is estimated to have a population of over 1.9 million.[5]
Since 1992, the extensive historic centre of Prague has been included in the UNESCO list of World Heritage Sites, making the city one of the most popular tourist destinations in Europe, receiving more than 4.1 million international visitors annually, as of 2009.[6]

Hammer of the brand Nooitgedagt, translated into English NeverTought. Rust is a Dutch word and means rest, that's what this hammer does after years of faithful service. The hammer is a bit rusty, which also fits the theme.
The brand Nooitgedagt is also in "rust" ( does not exist anymore), again it fits the theme.
For the Macro Mondays theme: rust.

ARGEGNO

ARGEGNO
Argegno is one of Lario’s most frequented places, as a place to stay as well as to stop in to visit. Actually from here a road travels the Valle d'Intelvi (Intelvi Valley), which connects Lake Como with that of Lugano.
Argegno is 20 km. from Como, from which can be reached by travelling the statale (state road) Regina, which takes its name from the ancient Roman via Regia that lead to Chiavenna and to Coira, and follows its route.
The valley is full of towns and includes noted tourist localities such as Castiglione, S.Fedele, and Lanzo, as well as calm and relaxing villages. Points of exceptional beauty are Belvedere (Terrace with a view) di Pigra, towards Lake Como, and Belvedere di Lanzo, towards Lugano’s lake.
Very picturesque is the ancient village of the town which, having crossed the Telo torrent, is divided into two parts connected by an old, pointed-arch stone bridge.
The town’s Roman origin is testified to by a few discoveries of gravestones, the inscriptions of which refer to the consul Publio Cesio Archigene.
Argegno has since ancient times been a fortified centre, its strategic position played a fundamental role in the course of the war between the Rusca and the Vittani, in 1335 it surrendered together with all the towns of Como to the Lordship of Milan and became property of the Visconti.
From Argegno you can climb in the cableway to Pigra (881 mt) located on a plateau from which a beautiful panorama of Lake Como can be enjoyed.
The Santuario di S. Anna (St. Anna Sanctuary), an 18th century building, which conserves in its interior stuccoes and frescos of the 1700s, is a must-see.
Every town of the valley offers us with something from the artisan ability point of view, which often is elevated to a downright work of art.
Among its most famous artist families should be mentioned the Carloni of Scaria, the Solari of Verna, the Quaglio and Barberini of Laino, and Bregno of Osteno.

The Indian Peafowl or Blue Peafowl (Pavo cristatus) is a large and brightly coloured pheasant native to South Asia, but introduced and semi-feral in many other parts of the world. The male, peacock, is predominantly blue with a fan-like crest of spatula-tipped wire-like feathers and is best known for the long train made up of elongated upper-tail covert feathers which bear colourful eyespots. These stiff and elongated feathers are raised into a fan and quivered in a display during courtship. The female lacks the train, has a greenish lower neck and has a duller brown plumage. They are found mainly on the ground in open forest or cultivation where they forage for berries, grains but will also prey on snakes, lizards, and small rodents. Their loud calls make them easy to detect, and in forest areas, often indicate the presence of a predator such as a tiger. They forage on the ground, moving in small groups and will usually try to escape on foot through undergrowth and avoid flying. They will fly up into tall trees to roost, however. It is the national bird of India.
A melanistic form with black wings, initially considered as a subspecies P. c. nigripennis, also known as a Japanned Peafowl was a topic of some interest during Darwin's time.[4] It is however only a case of genetic variation within the population. Other variations include the pied and white forms all of which are the result of allelic variation at specific loci

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Rosengarten (Italian: Catinaccio; German: Rosengarten) is a massif in the Dolomites of northern Italy. It is located between the Tiers, Eggental and Fassa Valleys, in Trentino-Alto Adige/Südtirol.
One peculiarity of the Rosengarten is the pink shade which, due to the presence of dolomite mineral, it takes in the sunset, celebrated in the Südtirollied as "glowing". Meaning "Rose garden" in German, the name refers to the legend of King Laurin and his Rose Garden, a traditional story explaining the outer appearance of the mountain range.

---
Marsa Alam (Arabic: مرسى علم) is a town in south-eastern Egypt, on the west coast of the Red Sea. It is currently seeing increasing popularity as a tourist destination and development including the opening of Marsa Alam Airport in 2001.
Marsa Alam is situated near the Tropic of Cancer where the Arabian Desert meets the Red Sea, and it has the appearance of a tropical paradise with its palm trees, mangroves and sea coasts fringed with barrier coral reefs. It has already gained a strong reputation amongst scuba divers due to its numerous and unspoilt diving sites both along the coast and offshore. Sightings of spinner dolphins, dugongs and hammerhead sharks are a frequent occurrence for those who venture into its waters.

The Grand Canyon is a steep-sided canyon carved by the Colorado River in the United States in the state of Arizona. It is largely contained within the Grand Canyon National Park, one of the first national parks in the United States. President Theodore Roosevelt was a major proponent of preservation of the Grand Canyon area, and visited it on numerous occasions to hunt and enjoy the scenery.
The Grand Canyon is 277 miles (446 km) long, up to 18 miles (29 km) wide and attains a depth of over a mile (1.83 km) (6000 feet).[1] Nearly two billion years of the Earth's geological history have been exposed as the Colorado River and its tributaries cut their channels through layer after layer of rock while the Colorado Plateau was uplifted.[2] While the specific geologic processes and timing that formed the Grand Canyon are the subject of debate by geologists,[3] recent evidence suggests the Colorado River established its course through the canyon at least 17 million years ago.[4][5] Since that time, the Colorado River continued to erode and form the canyon to the point we see it at today.[6]
Before European immigration, the area was inhabited by Native Americans who built settlements within the canyon and its many caves. The Pueblo people considered the Grand Canyon ("Ongtupqa" in Hopi language) a holy site and made pilgrimages to it.[7] The first European known to have viewed the Grand Canyon was García López de Cárdenas from Spain, who arrived in 1540.[8]

Lake Iseo or Lago d'Iseo or Sebino is the fourth largest lake in Lombardy, Italy, fed by the Oglio river.
It is in the north of the country in the Val Camonica area, near the cities of Brescia and Bergamo. The lake is almost equally divided between the Provinces of Bergamo and Brescia. This is a heavily industrialised part of the world, but the area remains one of outstanding natural beauty. The road north to Switzerland used to run along the side of the lake, and stories about entire families being swallowed up by the murky waters abound. A much safer road, carved into the side of the mountains, now exists.
