A red phonebox on Corporation St/Ryder St.
I found myself with a few hours to kill In Birmingham City Center so I decided to try to find some red phoneboxes and found three of them, all of which have been converted Into cash dispensers with the phone handset on the outside.
I am unsure whether or not this Is an attempt by Birmingham city council to try to retain It's heritage by keeping some of Its old red phoneboxes and a couple of questions come to mind.
1/ Is this phonebox the original one that has been here for many years and been converted?
2/ Is this one that originally stood elsewhere then was converted In to a cash machine and recently placed here?
Maybe somebody has the answer who may read this.

Before, I connected laptop to the public telephone corresponding to ISDN, and had transmitted e-mail.
Since laptop of those days was heavy and high temperature, the telephone booth of summer was in the sauna state.

The red phonebox In the small coastal village of Ellenabeich Scotland.Still operational for the moment possibly due to the fact that phone signals are not very good here for some networks.Pictured on a dull and wet day the Oyster Bar pub can be seen on the right and Is well worth a visit.

The red phonebox and postbox at Glenborrodale on the Achnamurchan Peninsula Scotland.
Situated on the single track B8007 road and on the shores of Loch Sunart this Is another example that Is not working.
The B8007 road Is a single track road that can be quite busy as It Is the only road In to and out of the Ardnamurchan Peninsula to Kilchoan.

A red phonebox on Easdale Island Scotland.
This Is a rare K8 example and as such Is the first one I have seen,although not In use as a phone anymore this one has been converted Into a defibrillator but It's future Is secure and will not be removed.
Easdale Island Is a small pleasant, car free Island with two phoneboxes, non of which are working as phoneboxes, and a pub which I found to be a disappointment.

This Is now the UKs most Northerly red phonebox since the removal of the one at Ungirsta about 3 miles North from here.

Situated about a half mile off the main A65 road In the small settlement of Masongill Is this red phonebox.
It's days of housing a phone are over and It has now been purchased by the local community and Is In use as a tourist Information point.
I am unsure however, as to what the attachment on the roof Is, It could possibly be a solar panel.
Pictured on the day that storm Brian brought bad weather to this part of the UK.

A "hidden" red phonebox on the Isle of Anglesey, North Wales.
Situated In the grounds of the Gadlys Hotel, this one Is clearly a recent acquisition and would be Interesting to know where It originally stood.

A red phonebox at a location called Sandwick on the Orkney Isles.situated on the main A961 road.
This one Is not operational but Is In good condition.

A K8 phonebox on the Isle of Rousey in the Orkney Isles.
Situated at the pier this example is in working condition and must be very rare for a working K8 box.

Situated on the main A861 opposite the Loch Shiel Hotel this Is another non operational example.

This has taken It's last call and Is now an Information center displaying leaflets for churches In Settle and district.

This phonebox Is perhaps the best maintained example I've come across, and It's In working order.

A pair of K2 red phoneboxes outside the Sadlers Wells Theater London.
These pair have been purchased by Sadler's Wells Theater and have been sealed up and are lit with Internal lighting which at night after dark looks quite nice.
