This one has had It's phone removed and as such Is awaiting It's next use or removal.

The red phonebox at Nangreaves In Bury Manchester.

Rosso Volvo FJ08BYH Is seen on a 487 service at Nangreaves from Bury, the terminus Is just behind me.

This Is the first picture I have posted In a while and as we enter a period of uncertainty In the UK with lockdowns being Imposed last night March 23 2020 I suspect that I might just be uploading a few more pictures In the next few days/weeks/months or however long this virus Is about.

I hope everybody that reads this stays well and gets through It.

Not sure if anybody still uses phone booths these days. Here in Canada pay phones are getting harder to find. But I did see a number still in UK ike these four in Cambridge

A couple of views of the red phonebox at Bridge End on the Isle of West Burra which Is linked to the Mainland Shetland by two bridges.

This one Is missing It's door but Is still working. This phonebox occupies a lofty position and can be seen from quite a distance away.

This is a shot from Thursday night, when I went out with my friend David to take some night shots. This is one I came away with which I'm quite happy with. I love the helpful reminder on the screen, just incase you've never used a phone before.

The red phonebox In the Yorkshire village of Hetton.

 

Located opposite the Angel Inn this one Is a bit awkward to photograph due to It being set back In the wall.

 

It Is In working order and as can be seen Is In good external condition, unlike many of the Scottish phoneboxes I have photographed, missing the door.

A study of the red phonebox In the small Scottish settlement of Portuairk on the Ardnamurchan Peninsula Scotland.

 

This phonebox has been painted In a non standard dark red color and the crown has been painted gold possibly by somebody other than an official source.

 

Another one that Is not working and also this one Is not plotted on the Ordnance Survey map.

Situated In the grounds of the farmhouse and In need of a coat of paint this Is another red phonebox that Is probably living on borrowed time.

A red phone box In the grounds of the Taychreggan Hotel In Scotland.

I suspect that this one has been placed here by the hotel for decorative purposes as It Is not connected and contains gardening tools.

 

Standing on the shores of Loch Awe at the Southern end of the B845 It Is photographed during torrential rain, and as a result about 10 feet nearer to Loch Awe than normal.

These phone booths are disappearing fast. Now I have another small obsession with shooting them, especially at night.

The other red phonebox on the Isle of Bressay Is this one at a place called Ham about a mile and a half from the other one.

The town of Lerwick can just be seen In the background.

The red phonebox and postbox in the Devonshire village of Sweetham. This phonebox Is now a book swap shop.

The phonebox Is opposite the Beer Engine pub and next door to Newton St Cyres train station.

A Red Phonebox at Lyness on the Isle of Hoy Orkney Scotland.

 

Situated on the B9048 almost at the junction of the B9047 it stands fenced off in a small enclosure and needless to say it is not in working order. Also it is not plotted on the OS maps.

A look at the former phonebox at Swythamley near Heaton, Cheshire. This one Is not shown on the Ordnance survey maps due to the fact that It Is no longer a phone. The handset has been removed and It Is now waiting It's next use, It will probably be fitted with a defibrillator as quite a few now are. August 8 2016.

This phonebox Is still working despite the fact that It Is In an out of the way location.

The Red phonebox at a place called Woodhouse Green near to Rushton Spencer.

Despite the box being next to a house this one Is In a remote location, aside from the house there Is nothing else here so It Is a bit Isolated.

The phone has been removed and at the moment this box Is just an empty shell and Is awaiting It,s next use

Pubs and red phoneboxes are both becoming smaller In numbers these days.

A look at the red phonebox at Salen on the Ardnamurchan Peninsula Scotland.

Situated on the B8007 about a mile from the junction of the A861 It stands guard over Salen Hall.

 

As with most red phoneboxes this one Is not working.
