For too many years they have ignored the world outside their heavenly realm.
For too much time they have ignored the events of mortal men.
For too long they have neglected the ancient oath to guard the World.
Now the Darkness has fallen and Chaos is rampaging across the World, threatening the very existence of every civilization.
This is not a time for debate. This is not a time to forget there is a real world outside the masterfully crafted walls of the Elven cities.
This is a time for action, a time for war.
He wont’t stand still as the forces of evil destroy millennia of civilization. He will fight. Relentless; steadfast. He will bring the Light to the darkest regions.
He is the Lord of the Ancient Flame and, as the mythical Phoenix he rides in battle, he will burn Darkness away with the fire of justice.
I always wanted to make photo featuring an Elf Warrior on a Phoenix and it’s the reason I bought that Phoenix Chima set some time ago (I don’t remember the name right now lol. I guess it was Ultimate Phoenix something).
It is my way to remember the old times when I played Warhammer and beside Elves and Phoenixes are somewhat a classic trope of certain Fantasy works :)
Since the only Elves I have are the Minifigures from Middle Earth sets I used Elrond to represent the “Phoenix Lord”.
Even though I used Elrond Minifigure in a completely different setting, I also want to show my support to Middle Earth :)

Phoenix. Investigating on this subject, I found that this mythological creature is repeated in many cultures, from ancient Egypt to most western and eastern cultures, under different names, but always with that image of a fire bird, associated with the sun, rebirth and purification. So I hope that we come out of this crisis, changed, renewed, strengthened. The same but different.

I took this photo of a Common Egret at William Kain Park here in York County, PA today for the #FlickrFriday #Phoenix theme this week. I used Alien Skin Eye Candy 7 for the fire effects and added some lighting and other effects with Paint Shop Pro X7.
Ok, je sais, ma photo n'a strictement aucun rapport avec un phœnix mais bon, je ne savais pas quel titre mettre à celle-ci. Je cherchais une chanson à écouter, puis je suis tombée sur Phoenix, et voilà.
La semaine dernière, je suis partie à la campagne, et j'avais emmené June, ma Pullip Rovam, avec moi... Voilà donc sa nouvelle wig, qui est définitive. Si vous observez bien, vous verrez des reflets Bordeaux sur elle. Elle a eu aussi des eyelashes.
Je n'ai pas la grande forme psychologiquement ces temps-ci, je me pose beaucoup de questions très étranges. Et je suis aussi déçue par certaines personnes qui font les faux-cul avec moi, mais bon, c'est personnel, donc.. Peu importe.
De toute façon, que ce soit dans la vie réelle ou sur Internet, j'ai l'impression que je me ferai toujours critiquer et insulter.
En tout cas, je voulais tenir au courant les intéressés pour les commissions de tatouages pour dolls de Groove ! (ou tailles similaires)
Ma mère est plutôt d'accord pour que j'en fasse, il faut que je fixe un prix. Cela ne devrait pas être trop cher. Mais bon, ne me demandez pas de faire le portrait de la Joconde sur le dos de votre doll s'il vous plaît, parce que ce n'est absolument pas de mon niveau. x)
Bref, j'espère que ma photo vous plaît et que vous passez de bonnes vacances, car, pour moi, c'est plutôt raté.

Alright, I know that my picture hasn't any relation with a phoenix but I did'nt know which title to put on it. I wanted to listen to a song, and then I've found Phoenix.
Last week, I went to campaign and I've took June, my Pullip Rovam, with me ... So that's her new wig, which is final. If you look closely, you can see that she has a few of claret strands.
She also had new eyelashes.
I'm not in great shape mentally these days, I ask myself a lot of very strange questions. And I'm also disappointed by some people who aren't honest with me, but it's personal, so .. Whatever.
Anyhow, I feel that I'll be criticized and insulted, whether in real life or in Internet.
Anyway, I hope you like my pic and enjoy your holidays, because, for me, it's failed.
The way my scanner interpreted this original Phoenix negative it looks almost like a red scale film. I rather liked the effect and did little to no editing save for a rotate and crop (I shoot crooked a lot of the time!), and yes I am aware that Harman recently introduced their own redscale film known as "Red". Harman Phoenix rated at 100 ISO, Kodak Retina IIIC.
I knew almost immediately the ship I wanted to enter into the Assemble the Fleet contest. The Pelta-class frigate has so many interesting shapes, moveable 'wings' to include as a play feature, and some great ships that might accompany it!
I had quite a job whittling the ship down to the right size, but I finally got it into the 32 stud limitation at 31 studs and a plate in length!
The model features movable 'wings' and a dock for the Ghost!
