We can't blame Elsie entirely for the scene portrayed in yesterday's mess photo...she had some help in tearing up that coyote tail. Here's Herbie doing his thing. We figured that, given the number of cats that have been killed by coyotes over the years, we should let them have their revenge.

Sleepy cat on my lap - remembering my beautiful Daisy.

Happy Caturday!

Daisy was trying to decide whether to play with her toy made of feathers & ribbons. Almost as soon as I'd taken the photo she was chasing around.

a Lost member we found to add to our big pet's family

Resting from the sun and keeping a watchful eye on the gate.

Tumi usually spends his time snoozing on the couch but occasionally he gets a little playful.

Daisy claimed the bag that contained my new winter boots as soon as I brought it home.

Spring is here and Linus has gone crazy, even more cray than usual I hasten to add. He is completely obsessed with catching anything that moves. As far as I know he got stung in the paw at least twice when trying to catch a bee but that doesn't slow him down at all. If anything it makes him even more determined to catch them all.

This looks as if I have made a mistake and posted the photo upside down. Linus was lying on the stairs in the garden and looking back over his shoulder to see what I was doing. The flowering spirea shrub behind him offered a nice backdrop.

Her appointment was delayed a couple of weeks.

Another day, another walk in the park. Fun times!

Linus caught a bird, his first one. I woke up at about 6 o'clock in the morning because of a noise. When I went downstairs to look what had happened, he had already brought the bird indoors and Fynn was behind him. Apparently Linus was so surprised to see me that he dropped his prey. The confusion that followed allowed me to usher the cats into the living room and close the door. The bird was still alive and had sought refuge in a cat cave. I took the cat cave and put it out on the terrace and when I checked on the bird a few minutes later it had disappeared. I hope that it wasn't injured but there was no blood and it was obviously still able to fly. Linus wasn't pleased that I had stolen his bird. I'm afraid that he is determined to catch a new one.

Charlie (in 2006), on top of the kitchen cupboards - a favourite place now occupied by Daisy. But Charlie had an advantage - he was here to supervise the cupboards being fitted!

Happy Caturday.

This makes me happy - Daisy, on my lap. This is "the look" that checks if I'm watching her.

Happy Caturday!

Milo and Charlie are watching some fascinating distraction. Probably Julie in the kitchen!

This was Charlie, helping to put a self-assembly desk together.

Happy Caturday!

Just checking, as something moved - a squirrel, bird, or just a leaf? Whatever it was, Daisy needed to watch it.

Happy Caturday!
