As well as putting in photographs that were part of a college project, I wanted to add a couple that were personal. I really love this one of the snow prints in the snow. The biggest print is at the bottom, which acts as a lead-in line to the others that are in the distance. Just looking at it makes the viewer feel cold. To improve, I would attempt to take it from a lower angle.
I am working on a personal black and white film and digital project of the beauty of masculinity in women.
This is a piece is part of my Personal Project for Controlled Lighting 1. It focuses on lighting used in famous pieces throughout art history. This is my recreation of the "Pietà " by Michelangelo.
In this daily personal project, I use a random noun generator to give me a word to explore in a visual manner.
This is a CD cover that I created in response to a personal project. I chose to look at CD covers, but in particular focussing on the music genre Hip-hop and the lifestyle behind the music. I explored graffiti by looking at the work of Banksy, analysed different cd covers, looked at companies that specialized in music album covers and went to an art exhibition called Spin, The art of record design, for inspiration. After taking some photographs and doing some drawings and sketches, I came up with a final design, taking everything I had learned about cd design and the hiphop genre into consideration. This was my final product.
This is a selection of photos which turned out ok on my second roll of film. I'm really enjoying using film it's a lot more exciting. I also had a wee play on photoshop to see what some would look like when cross processed (which I plan to to for real in my uni personal project). Poor quality because I have just scanned the prints on my scanner.
