A business card created to promote my online shop, which (at one time) carried handwoven bracelets. I created the photography for the card as well.
The shop now focuses on art and paper products, and will continue to do so.
I shot this image using the on camera flash because I wanted that stark in your face lighting, this and the lines of the wall are leading the eye towards the model which helps her stand out. I also gave the highlights a warm yellow hue and the shadows a cooler blue/purple. The warmer tones in an image tend to be brought forward and cooler tones recede backwards. I used that idea for this image to bring the model further forward in the image.
I made this for myself, and use it as my desktop wallpaper. I love space, and space pics, when I found this nebula on the Hubble site I thought it looked like someones wild hair... so i scoured the CC licensed images on Flickr and found this lady's face (sorry I've forgotten who I got it from, let me know if you know :-).
figurines made using femo clay, some roughly the size of my index finger, some the size of my thumb.
This is a shoot conducted at Moles nightclub during there closed hours. They have just had a brand new refit and the walls were painted a rich teal colour which I thought would make a wonderful backdrop. I enhanced the red of her lips knowing that red and green are complementary colours so the expanse of green behind her would make the deep red of her lips (and the pale red of her cheeks to a certain extent) pop against the background colour.
I used a focal length of 18mm which exaggerates perspectives and made the slightly curved wall even more rounded. It almost seems as if the wall is pushing her towards the camera.
It's a personal Project,
