Re the symbolic shape of this grave marker: "Most slaves were shipped to Suriname from West Africa via Curacao. Jewish planters brought some here [to Jodensavanne] from Barbados, Cayenne, and elsewhere in the New World. The majority of African people in Suriname, like their offspring, believed in a supreme being, a spiritual world on earth, and a realm of ancestors. They held the belief that after passing away they would be reincarnated in their country of origin. Death meant liberation in a certain sense. The symbolism of the wooden grave markers - the heart (in Suriname often placed upside-down) at the end of the stake - can be explained through the African symbol sankofa. Sankofa means "go back to fetch it." The deeper meaning behind this is that there is wisdom in learning from the past so as to build for the future. And also: to understand why and how we came to be who we are today. The heart shape can also be an akoma: a symbol of love, patience, tolerance, good will, loyalty, and perserverance." Soccer is fun and brings happiness along with some health benefits. These are things most people are going to need in their lives. But, most people don't know much about soccer. If this sounds like you, continue reading.
Once you have a defender closing in on you, it is time to pass the soccer ball. Hold onto the ball as long as possible, but advance steadily and pass when necessary. Be sure the person you are passing it to is ready to receive it.
Start by beginning the basic Outside Elastico technique. This is a good way to do inside cuts when on a flank spot. To begin practice, place a shoe, bag, or cone on the ground. Begin the maneuver about five running steps behind the opponent. Dribble to it. Use a soft outside touch before touching your ball back toward the inside as you get closer to the cone. You can fool a defender with this soft outside touch. Remember that the second touch must be bigger than the previous one.
Don't pass up on times when you can be practicing. Get in the habit of taking your soccer ball with you wherever you go, then, if you have a free moment or two, do a couple of drills. Just directing it with your feet when you're walking from one location to another is a great form of practice.
If there is too much happening on your side of the field, pass the ball to a player who is in an empty area. This allows your team to set up the ball before the opposing team gets into the area, thus giving your team a few second advantage of controlling the action.
Practice and perserverance are what you need to get better at soccer. You won't become a soccer star overnight. Make time in your day, every day, to practice. Practice all your soccer skills, regardless of how difficult they are. You can always get better, so make sure you work on stronger skills too.
To get prepared to play soccer when the season comes around, in the off season you should increase your stamina by running long distance. Soccer players run many miles during an average soccer game estimates are that 8-10 miles are the average. Running helps increase your soccer stamina and can eliminate the need for excessive breaks.
Soccer can help develop both mind and body. You may now be in a position to reap the benefits from playing soccer, even if your knowledge of the game is rudimentary. Armed with a wealth of knowledge about the game, you should be well-prepared to get going and see how your new skills translate to the field. www.freebetdeposit.com/william-hill-free-bet/
'Famine' (1997) was commissioned by Norma Smurfit and presented to the City of Dublin in 1997. The sculpture is a commemorative work dedicated to those Irish people forced to emigrate during the 19th century Irish Famine. The bronze sculptures were designed and crafted by Dublin sculptor Rowan Gillespie and are located on Custom House Quay in Dublin's Docklands.
This location is a particularly appropriate and historic as one of the first voyages of the Famine period was on the 'Perserverance' which sailed from Custom House Quay on St. Patrick's Day 1846. Captain William Scott, a native of the Shetland Isles, was a veteran of the Atlantic crossing, gave up his office job in New Brunswick to take the 'Perserverance' out of Dublin. He was 74 years old. The Steerage fare on the ship was £3 and 210 passengers made the historical journey. They landed in New York on the 18th May 1846. All passengers and crew survived the journey.
When Scott Hubbard — NASA’s first Mars Czar — showed the hematite berries of Mars, I had to show him my Earth berries for comparison. The most exciting recent Martian news has been the discovery of complex organics, like kerogen (found in algae and plants on Earth). Raman spectroscopy of core samples by the Perserverance rover shows “enormous amounts of organics.”
His talk just went online, covering "the impact of water on Martian geology, the tantalizing possibilities it holds for life, and how these findings are shaping the future of space exploration. This brief yet compelling talk will traverse Martian riverbeds, polar ice caps, and subterranean lakes, offering a glimpse into the extraordinary potential for discovery on our neighboring planet."
I share his conclusion slide below.

After 2 yrs searching, I finally, got this album! I missed out on one, on "da' bay", cuz, when I finally convinced myself I'd pay the price($40 for an album, is pretty much...well, I just couldn't see that kind of value?!)being my justification was "a gift to myself", someone snatched it up,(I watched it for 'bout 3-4 months) but, a little time and perserverance, I scored this one for under 12 bucks.....SNAP!

I took this in one of the chapels of the parish church of Warrington, UK a few days ago. The site has had a church since the 7th century with various expansions, additions, and remodeling every few hundred years. Excellent woodwork, tile and mosaic work, and awesome testament to faith and perserverance despite setbacks and damage from regional and world wars.

Near this spot are deposited the remains of Jeremiah Ives Esq, who died February 19th 1805. He was a native of Bourne in Lincolnshire, but early in life became a resident in this city, in the commercial occupations of which he was extensively concerned: In his rise to wealth and opulence he employed those arts alone which it is in the power of everyone to practice, Integrity, Industry and Perserverance. The history of this life affords an eminent example of what in a free country may be affected by honest exertions: and while he was universally regarded for his character in public life, he was no less esteemed in retirement, and endeared to his family by his private virtues.
Near the same spot in interred the body of Susannah Ives, his beloved wife, who possessing those virtues which adorn the relations of domestic life, evinced a pious resignation under the afflications which embittered them in the deaths of all her children, when they had attained an age at which the deprivation of them is most deeply felt . She died May 7th 1805, in the 85th year of her age.
In grateful respect to their memories this memorial has been inscribed by an affectionate relative.

Technically, this isn't a very complicated shot. It was actually taken in my bathroom, of all places, since that's where the best light seems to be during most of the morning/day. However, it represents the intricacy that my romantic life has taken.
I feel extremely let down, dissapointed, hurt, demeaned, belittled...what have you. BUT, I do realize that I have allowed someone to make me feel that way.
I would like to think that I am a pretty strong person and that I can handle any curve balls Life throws at me, but sometimes the faith I have set on people can backfire and truly let me down.
With that said, I have felt as though I need to put my "heart on the shelf" and just focus on what needs to be done so that I can move past these feelings of deep dissapointment and hurt.
I promise I'm not always so self-deprecating, I'm just going through some things that I hope will soon pass.
Thanks for coming through! xoxo
Side note: This looks extremely crooked and ill-framed but I promise my hard copy doesn't look half as bad.
