The revolution will be bought to you by GMTV,
In four parts with Eamon Holmes as your host.
The revolution will feature pictures of desolate landscapes,
And Kate Adie will be in most.
The revolution will be sponsored by Pepsi,
And will feature Britney Spears, Justine Timberlake and Michael Jackson looking a state!
And of course the group will be caught drinking Coca Cola at a later date.
The revolution will give you sex appeal
It will get your face put on t-shirts,
And create a myth which is far from real.
It will feature pictures of Prince Charles pushing a trolley cart full of drugs from a Government lab.
Or Bill Gates sliding a brand new Apple Macintosh,
Into a stolen black cab!
The BBC will report the winner at 8:32,
But this time no one will die, and no one will sue.
The Government, Europe and a Royal family
Will still continue to be relevant.
And people will still care if Ross finally ends up with Rachael in the repeated episodes of Friends.

Courts, Bocas and 2 Cents Movement are at it again! We're on a tour to 50 Secondary schools around the country, from Tobago to Mayaro, Toco to Port of Spain and many places in between, members of the 2 Cents Movement, that includes some of the nation’s best young performance poets, relate to students on issues that they can identify with through spoken word, poetry and discussion. Subjects include self-respect, romance, Caribbean culture, persistence, identity, youth sexuality, bullying, literary skills, abortion, making choices, and social media. The tour culminates in March 2015 with the nation's only Intercol Spoken Word Competition.

Country: Britain. Style: Performance Poetry (mainly Comic Monologues).
Lineup: Les Barker (recitations).
Les Barker is from Manchester, and has lived in Wales for many years. His poems are full of wordplays, and he has mostly performed them in Folk Clubs. Either solo or for a period joined by musicians under the banner of the Mrs Ackroyd Band (for what were often parodies of traditional Folk Songs). His selection here were nearly all comic ("An Infinite Number of Occasional Tables", "The Boy Who Was Raised By Lemmings", "The Church of the Wholly Undecided", "Dachshunds With Erections Can't Climb Stairs", "Disaster at Sea", "Have You Got Any News of the Iceberg?", "I don't like my boomerang", "The inflatable boy", "Reg Was a Lonely Glow Worm", "Shi Tzu") and one serious one ("Remembrance"). JEROME ROTHENBERG's publishing career began in the late 1950s as a translator of German poetry, first for Hudson Review and then for City Lights Books. Founding Hawk's Well Press in 1959, Rothenberg used it as a venue to publish collections by some of the up-and-coming poets of the era, including Diane Wakoski and Robert Kelly. He also self-published his first book of poems, White Sun Black Sun, under the Hawk's Well imprint. From the beginning, his work embodied experimentation with syntax, image, and form that drew on varied influences and moved in diverse directions. Poetic and artistic forebears such as Gertrude Stein, James Joyce, Dali, the Dadaists, Ezra Pound, and Walt Whitman affected the voice and content of his early work. In a career that has already spanned half a century, including seventy books of his own poetry, plus plays, acclaimed anthologies, and other works, Rothenberg has gone on to explore primitive and archaic poetry, sound poetry, found poetry, visual poetry, collaborations, further translations, his own Jewish heritage, and much more.
Rothenberg identified with both the twentieth-century avant-garde and with "a range of tribal and subterranean poetries" that can provide "a poetics big enough to account for human creativity, human language-making, over the broadest span available." Of his poetry and his experimental "anthology-assemblages," he once wrote: "My own contributions (nomenclature and praxis) have included 'deep image,' ethnopoetics, 'total translation,' poetics of performance, and assorted attempts 'to reinterpret the poetic past from the point of view of the present."
Rothenberg is widely and highly respected as a consummate anthologist and poetic theorist as well as a poet. In the massive 1,700-page, two-volume Poems for the Millennium: The University of California Book of Modern and Postmodern Poetry, edited with Pierre Joris, Rothenberg presents what Hacsi Horvath of Whole Earth considered "a brilliant kaleidoscope of writing unstuck in time, both in English and in fine translation, from numerous archaic/modern/postmodern voices." Writing in Vort, Kenneth Rexroth described Rothenberg and his poetry in the following way: "Jerome Rothenberg is one of the truly contemporary American poets who has returned US poetry to the mainstream of international modern literature.”
