Performance by Pier Giorgio De Pinto & Valter Luca Signorile within the exhibition FRAUGHT openend Saturday the 28th of November 2015.

This was at a benefit dinner and concert to support MusiCares® Addiction Recovery Programs. I was the only photographer who was allowed to roam around the venue and get right up next to the stage. It is why this is the greatest job in the world.
That was my band's name. Performing in a public road show in 1985. I was doing the guitar solo for the song "I love a raining night" (recorded by Eddie Rabbitt)
Luckily it didn't rain during the show :)

The guitar was a Jap made Aria Pro, my first brand new electric. I sold it later and bought a used 79' strat which I was still using now.

Local trash metal band Violate performing a concert in local rock club. Dario is frontman and has really interesting and respectful performance.
These chaps perform in Manchester Piccadilly gardens with the musicians out of sight they are happily dancing away. I did put money in the hat.
At the Casa Armonica, Supertree Grove, Gardens by the Bay during Christmas Wonderland festive celebrations.
I know, there is no overhead wire, but still this vintage train had a super performance after being in stock for over 20 years!

Questa foto fa parte di un progetto fotografico, una performance che ho condotto alla Mostra di San Valentino a Olbia. Per l'occasione ho voluto realizzare una fotografia, un'immagine interpretabile, che si concentrava sulla mia visione dell'amore, su un aspetto circoscritto ma in realtà onnicomprensivo che riguarda la ricerca di se stessi come tappa fondamentale dell'amore tout court. Dalla foto la mia idea si è sviluppata in una performance. Affianco alla fotografia ho appeso, nell'espositore, un bello specchio invecchiato.Ai visitatori che si avvicinavano a guardare la mia opera proponevo un gioco (una provocazione): prendersi un minuto di tempo per sè davanti allo specchio. Di chi accettava, in disparte, cercando di essere invisibile, studiavo le reazioni di fronte alla propria immagine riflessa attraverso il mirino ottico della mia macchina fotografica e quando sentivo di cogliere qualcosa di sincero, scattavo.
Non avendo a disposizione una polaroid o comunque una macchina a sviluppo istantaneo, ho stampato le fotografie al termine di ogni giornata della mostra, appendendole sull'espositore all'apertura giorno successivo in una sorta di rituale.

This shot is part of a photographic project, a performance that I conducted at the "Mostra di San Valentino 2015" (t. "S. Valentine's Day Exhibition") in Olbia. On this occasion I wanted to make a photograph, an interpretable image, which focused on my vision of love, of a circumscribed aspect but nevertheless all-encompassing: the search for self as an essential step of love in general. From the picture my idea has developed into a performance. I hung in the exhibitor, next to the photograph, a beautiful aged mirror. I proposed a game (a provocation) to the visitors who approached to look at my work: to take a minute for himself/herself in front of the mirror.
I studied the reactions of those who accepted through the viewfinder of my camera, standing behind them, trying to be invisible, and when I felt something genuine, I shot (with a tele lens).
Not having available a Polaroid camera or other instant development cameras, I printed the photos at the end of each day of the exhibition, hanging them on the exhibitor the day after, in a sort of ritual.

This workshop was inserted within the line of long-term works developed by the center with educational spaces, especially those of its closest environment, with the intention of reinforcing the established partnerships with different agents.

The performance of one of the classes at the Christmas concert at my school. I did not score a very good seat. Too far from the stage AND I had forgotten my tripod. My camera does not do low light very well but I gave it a shot. Literally. Just when I was about to press this little head popped up in front of me. Oh well Now he is my main focus! In a funny way I like the result. :))
Performed during Spring Surprise 2017 at the Supertree Grove, Gardens by the Bay for the Chinese New Year Festival celebrations.

the formality of the space is akin to a temple, a chapel, a house of worship.
the empty stage is dancing and performing and i can hear the chairs burst out in applause.
i can sense a movement in this stillness.
