Theres not much to say about this photo other then it was not planned. I just looked out the window and saw how the sun hit our 'laituri' perfectly, so I grabbed my camera, threw on a dress and ran. Oh and lets not forget sprayed myself completely with bug spray.

And last, but certainly not least, I topped this look off with two of BeSpoke's most wonderful buggy creations-- The Moth Luna Head and the Chitinous Legs, which were a collab with Wicca's Originals. It's rare to get this close to one of these. I think this guy hangs out where there are lots of people so he may be less skittish than others. But he was only a few feet away from me. Granted, he was behind all that vegetation, but still, so close!
117 in 2017 Frame within a Frame #43
A Purple Heron (Ardea purpurea) was perfectly framed while passing by to a new destination for a visit. It was searching for big fishes and finally got that. Unfortunately I missed the engulfing sequence due to distance and managed to appear in the framing distance when it set for a new destiny. But the take off shot was also a joy to frame like a consolation prize. Pics was taken from purbasthali, West Bengal, India.
Not all sunrises are full of colour and sunshine. This was sunrise last weekend on Sunday at Turimetta Beach, which was grey and overcast.
Every year around this time the rocks at Turimetta Beach get covered in moss, and this colour complemented the grey sky perfectly.
I took a long exposure which gives the image this mysterious feel, which I think is really cool.

Since this might be my last post of 2018... I'd like to take this opportunity to thank all my Flickr friends and followers for all your support this year!
This has been quite a crazy year for me... one of the most hectic years of my life! But it's also been a very decisive year... and I've made a number of radical decisions which have changed (and improved) my life considerably. I haven't felt stressed or angry with anyone in at least 2 months now... and that can only ever be a good thing! I have a challenging new project and a clear plan for next year... and so far... everything is fitting into place perfectly! I can't remember when last I've been so excited to start a new year!
So here's wishing you all a very enjoyable last few days of the year... and a very prosperous and happy 2019!

Four perfectly ripe bananas at their peak of sweetness, full of flavor and still firm. When I bought them, intending to photograph them, there were seven, and they were blemish-free. But as the days progressed, their aroma grew tempting and I ate three of them, one per day, usually with peanut butter or almond butter.
Bananas are botanically berries, and there are thousands of varieties, but for the most part, it is the Cavendish banana, pictured here, that most people eat, an average of 3 per week per person throughout the world. This wasn't always the case. The Gros Michel banana was sweeter, and generally considered a superior banana overall, but in the 1960s, the spread of Panama Disease, a fungus that caused banana wilt, pretty much made the variety extinct.
It is estimated that the Cavendish banana will also succumb to this fungal disease within the next 10 to 30 years, so enjoy them while you can. Scientists have been working feverishly to develop a palatable replacement.
