"It's me, I'm freak
But thanks for lovin' me,
Cause you're doing it perfectly..."
An absolutely perfect reflection that I shot on the other side of the Kylemore Abbey lake, the Pollacapall Lough.
Perfectly describes the recent 2021 tax season. Let's call this month the, "Give your accountant a much needed break Month!"
This picture was encouraged by this part of our conversation and something I feel should be shared for anyone who may need to hear it themselves.
Me): you have been there to point out my mistakes or what I should have said or done
Me:( what you have never done to me is make me feel less of a woman for doing it, saying or acting out as I have through the use of my profile. (past tense) just pure acceptance with no judgments or mocking
Him): that is easy...your an amazing woman Dess and you deserve to know the truth of that...no one, least of all myself is perfect...but acceptance. not only of others but of ones own faults makes all the difference in being able to identify and perhaps most importantly, empathize
Thank you for seeing past my flaws and insecurities and noticing the woman I am. Thank you for being the friend I have always needed in a man. Thank you for the perfectly imperfect friendship.
I loved the dark burgundy section of this tunnel. Being lucky enough to catch the light trail passing through the centre of the frame really adds to it too (and that red glow reflection on the poster!).
Moments prior I had been taking shots just before the tunnel. A couple of guys wandered past and stopped. My heart sank- they were going to engage us in conversation. I always feel so, so awkward as I really just want to take my photographs and be left alone. They were perfectly nice but there were loads of questions about what Michael and I were doing. Anxiety levels increased, embarrassment increased. Argh.

If you haven’t been over to Uber yet then go now! Like now.
This petal top by COCO screams spring in Paris to me! It’s so beautiful. Uber is packed with so many gorgeous things.
To top this look off perfectly, I had to grab this absolutely stunning hair by S-club over at this round of Anthem. Depending on the package you purchase, it has options for a few different styles and accessories including these beautiful earrings!

Culross, Scotland
Culross has been a religious site since the 6th century. By the 13th century, there was a grand abbey at the top of the hill, with the village of Culross below. Today, Culross Abbey is in ruins but the town, which is cared for by the National Trust for Scotland, is spectacular example of a 16th century burgh.
In the 1500s, Culross was a thriving port, bringing such great wealth to one local laird and merchant, he built a palace for his family to live in. Today, ochre-coloured Culross Palace, with its perfectly recreated 16th century gardens, is one of the many highlights of a visit to the village. The nearby Town House, overlooking the Forth, was once Culross’ court and jail, with criminals kept in the cell while witches were incarcerated in the attic.
Culross regularly appeared in Outlander as Cranesmuir, with the village’s Mercat Cross and surrounding buildings instantly recognisable to fans of the hit TV series
I've chosen two photos today: on the first one you can see Merlin posing perfectly for the photographer and on the second, a few seconds later, Merlin asking to be stroked.

Taken from my car window :-) I've done battle with this guy for weeks, if I stop, he flies away, so this time I didn't stop, just slowed a little bit, and took the picture while driving by. No, there was no one behind me, and no oncoming traffic, made sure of that first!! Ha!
This hidden gem of a "tunnel" is at Kelton, PA. Strangely, it is not perfectly round like most are. Maybe the upper bulge was formed into a shape like that for the exhaust stacks on the locomotives to pass freely. Who knows? It is quite a find on the old Pennsy side branch. The "drainpipe" underpass helps this East Penn train get by PA Route 796 without disturbing traffic above as the Octorano job heads east back to Pocopson to finish up the day.
After being shut out the night before by a stubborn storm that refused to break up over Jasper National Park, we had our fingers crossed as we headed back to Maligne Lake the following morning. We all seemed pretty happy with our blue hour shots, but as sunrise approached, it really began to look like we might not see the sun at all that day. I think we had all resigned ourselves to the fact that we were looking at another completely gray day when I glanced up an noticed the faintest wisp of pink on one of the clouds. Sure enough, the sun broke through just enough to throw some fleeting color across the the clouds that were continuing to roll in from the West. I think Tom and I are the ones in our group who really have a problem standing still during moments like this. Both of us went off in all directions at once, and both of us had two camera bodies for just such an occasion. Leaving my D800 on the tripod, I took off running with my D750 and cranked up the ISO a bit while I looked for other comps in addition to what I was getting down at the lakeside.
As I was racing back to my spot in front of the boat house, this puddle caught my eye and I spent the next few minutes trying to shoot if from several different angles with the 14-24. There have been times where I have doubted my run and gun approach, but I usually reserve it for situations where I feel like I've got a decent shot on the tripod before setting of to see what I might be missing maybe just a few steps away. If I had stayed camped out where I was I would have missed this particular shot along with quite a few others. We ALL gave in to temptation two nights before when we had a perfectly good view of the late afternoon sun up at the Opabin Prospect, but curiosity got the better of us and we full out RAN back up the trail to get more shots of the larches behind us. So I think there is something to be said for making sure you KEEP MOVING once you believe you have a decent shot...especially when you might only have another few minutes of good light.
This being said, it helps to be able to TRUST the guys who you are shooting next to. Maybe leaving the camera on the tripod while you run like a maniac in all directions should be reserved for those times when you actually know the people around you...or you might not have a camera when you get back. :)

Simplicity of the architecture of the tulli is amazing, but the skill needed to lay the stones properly, and balanced is an art long gone.
With differing arms and droplets of frozen water (rime) this snowflake is far from a perfect specimen but still beautiful in its own way.
Found out this cat is known as a Bengal Tiger type and this perfectly fits his very unique coloring.
A steep metal staircase on a platform of the central station in Amsterdam from 1889. This led to the railway keeper's house, which has not been used for decades and is therefore covered in dust.
In his korjaal - dugout - Stefano, denizen of Dan on the Upper Suriname River, and I paddled up Munjanwoojo Creek across the River exactly opposite the village. Lovely day because huge Cumulus Clouds later to turn into Nimbus took away some of the Sun's heat, and we paddled sweatless under the patchy-blue sky. The River itself was low - this is the dry season - and the Creek, too, wasn't contributing much water. Lots of mud- and sandbanks to carefully navigate around. And lots to see.
On a mudbank a midsize dozing Cayman, Vultures circled overhead looking for food left after villagers had used a Barbasco Liana the previous night on their fishing venture, in the mangroves a variety of Herons and other aquatic birds, Butterflies and Insects, and the perfectly round resting places of freshwater Sting Rays in the low sandbanks, and Ever So Much More.
And on a crystalline-pure sandbank this wondrously Blue Oligoclada laetitia, Happy Blue Dragonfly allowed me too snap it.
This little double-barred finch was singing away on a fence at Oxley Creek Common, QLD. It had such a tiny call that matched its miniature stature perfectly.
