Everything made this session seem to be perfect. We hit the road and went to Mølen, a paradise for landscape photography. Sun was about to set and we were getting the gear ready. Rune had already fired up his Olympus while I was about to attach the shutter release cable to the Kiev 88. Suddenly, the cable release fell apart. It was a too long walk back to the car for tools so I tried to fix it with what I had. Then while trying, all the ball bearings in the release cable shot out and were scattered in between the rocks on Mølen's rubble beach. So now I would hold the cable release by hand, there was no lock function any more. After a while, we got to see the most amazing full moon rise and I prepared for my last shot. I fired the shutter with the release and I had to hold it by hand. The aim was 1 hour, so I would have to hold it for....1 hour. Rune had already fired his OMD for an 1 hour long exposure too. This time, bad luck struck him. When the hour had passed, his camera didn't save the picture for some reason. We returned to the car, both struck by lightning....but the experience of just being there would completely over weigh the bad luck. Mølen was pure Perfection that night and this picture is a result of the wonders of nature over there.

Thought I'd type Perfection in one of my AI programs and it gave me this photo. So, I thought I'd find a quote to go with it:
“Perfectionism is the voice of the oppressor, the enemy of the people. It will keep you cramped and insane your whole life, and it is the main obstacle between you and a shi*ty first draft. I think perfectionism is based on the obsessive belief that if you run carefully enough, hitting each stepping stone just right, you won't have to die. The truth is that you will die anyway and that a lot of people who aren't even looking at their feet are going to do a whole lot better than you, and have a lot more fun while they're doing it.”
― Anne Lamott, Bird by Bird
Boy, after reading that, it makes me glad that I'm not someone who is obsessed with perfection.
