Crime fiction fans are under no suspicions as they gather on a weekend to die for this Friday 13th September, as Bloody Scotland, the countryÍs International Crime Writing Festival - sponsored by the international accountancy firm Mazars - gets under way for the second year running.
With a truly international line-up that includes the best-selling sensations, USA based Lee Child, Nordic writers Jo NesbÀ and Arne Dahl and ScandinaviaÍs Mons Kallentoft, the organisers of this yearÍs Festival aim to export the genius that is Scottish crime writing to the world!

It is so hard to get a perfect pizzelle out of the press when you are making them. For me they usually are missing part of one side, and sometimes there is more then needed on another side that needs to be trimmed off. Out of my latest batch of Cinnamon Pizzelles I produced three that appear to be Perfect.

the perfect dinner - hosted by me so the decoration was a bit extravagant [the alien is there because we had some cheese from Gruyeres where HR Giger has his museum. the boots, the riding whip and the other stuff is there because.. uhm.. let's say because i feel comfortable when i am surrounded by stuff like that..]
This little Shar-Pei/German Shepherd mix was one of four that were brought into the shelter. We have new dogs coming in every day just waiting for a home and hundreds more that can't. I had planned on shooting this guys' brother (since he had more wrinkles) but he was a wiggle worm and wouldn't stay on the chair. This guy though, was a perfect model and will be a great dog once he goes home!
Although this pup found safety at this animal shelter and an adoptive home, there are many others that aren't so lucky. Over 300 adoptable yet homeless animals are euthanized weekly in San Antonio, TX alone. Please be a responsible pet owner and help end pet over population one animal at a time- Spay/neuter your pet. Not only does it greatly help with pet over population but it increases your pets health and well being. It reduces risk of cancer, relieves your pet of the urge to breed, reduces aggression tendencies and can help to keep your pet wondering off to find a mate.
Perfect weather this year for the L5P Halloween Parade. The parade and the crowds get bigger and better every year!

Just playing around with the metallic Perfect Pearls for a Father's Day card. So fun! I embossed the tree, then watercolored with the perfect pearls for a fun shine. Sentiment is printed on the computer. It's hard to see the metallic shine here, but there's a close up in my photostream. Thanks for looking!
