A calmness arises when we are in a quiet place with a sensory subject that brings our mental focus out of hiding and into the here and now.
I have written a short Facebook post that uses this image and the original image as examples of my opinion on artistic photography. It will give you a peek at how much changed in the post processing.

Dense fog distorts my senses in a way that is simultaneously disconcerting yet thrilling. The liminal quality of spaces such as this scene is overwhelmingly immersive. I feel so much more than indifferent observer. Images such as this exist only because I involve myself in the space, become a part of it, and quite literally allow it envelop me.
One of my many fascinations with fog is the sense that clarity exists only within arm's reach. It's the same way my mind perceives life when I'm dreaming. The entire world surrounds me, but it becomes progressively murky as it recedes in distance. I behold only what my mind prioritizes even while I have peripheral awareness of my surroundings. Likewise, fog has the effect of cordoning me into a small space even when I am outdoors in the middle of a large expanse such as stubble field. I desperately want to enter that nebulous threshold where the trees vanish into the fog, but it's an unapproachable boundary. It exists visually, but its not a physical space. I live for visual contradictions such as this.
We found a cute little cafe for our cup of tea, called Changing Perceptions. Some info below, for those who are interested!
Changing Perceptions has quickly evolved from Godalming’s best kept secret to a popular and bustling Café and home interior shop. Located at the very top of the High Street this unique and vibrant social enterprise is just a stone’s throw away from the Meath. Meath clients are supported to up-cycle donated furniture in the on-site workshop which is then put on sale in the shop, with all profit going straight back to the charity. It is a very important part of the Meath’s philosophy to help dispel the stigma associated with epilepsy and to assist all of our clients to live alongside people from all walks of life, sharing similar experiences and hopes and dreams for the future.
This is my last photo from this trip, but don't worry, I have another couple of day trips to share!!

We all have our own perceptions in life and at some point of time we try to convince others to agree to our perception thinking that ours is the only right one.
In this image, a circle shape can be seen from top but it is also a flask-shape when it is viewed from other angle, both shapes are real and both angles are right, it is just a difference of perception.
We should respect each other's perceptions, point-of-views, ideas, suggestions, advises, etc. and should be open to those things for better human relation.
Understanding and managing perception, both our own and that of others, can lead to more effective communication, better relationships, and greater success in various aspects of life.

In keeping with my work "For the Love of the Ocean From a Child's Perception" I continue to promote the importance of our environment in this case the sea and the sky and the happiness they give us and our children.

I found this old Serendipity pose, and its theme of perception seemed to go well with the stunningly revealing new dress from Aleutia that’s available now at The Secret Affair. I’m also showing off the B variant of the new Sangria hair by eXxEsS – I can’t believe how amazing it is!

Guess who finally got their hands on BG3 two years late? Meeee!! I haven’t done one of these animations in awhile and wanted to dip my toes in again. (hehe, lake pun)
the Ahu Nau Nau in Anakena beach, Rapa Nui (Eastern island)...like an old fashion postcard!..The legends of Easter Island say that Hotu Matua (the first King) came first came ashore here at Anakena Beach and that this was the island's first settlement.
What you see and what you hear depends a great deal on where you are standing. It also depends on what sort of person you are. - C.S. Lewis
A beautiful depiction of Ganesha, remover of obstacles and the lord of new beginnings.
I have mixed feelings about seeing deities and Buddhas in commercial settings such as a garden centres, alongside garden gnomes, dragons and flowerpot people.
But looking beyond to when these figures are in people's homes and gardens and giving them pleasure and maybe inspiring peaceful contemplation and then my mood changes to something more open to compassion.
Love, Light and abiding Peace to all sentient beings.

ACCIDENTS IN THE PERCEPTION OF TIME
"Modes of perception: between channels:
Wordless days, years, periods.
Centuries of drawing with black lead, or burnt sienna on the rock.
Restless scratches. Silhouettes of clumsy figures.
A tangle of lines (animals in motion).
Millennia of the word: winding of words around the body, lashing,
silhouettes of clumsy sentences. Space behind them.
Muting: and a surge of noisy images. Unravel. Span.
Look like you understand.
A hand for joy: draw.
A hand.
A hand: survive, kill.
A mouth for the voice (play, cheat). Open. For someone else.
Like with like (Picasso in the cave). And bridges!
For yourself. For someone else."

I see you as you are,
with your subtle flaws...
but your colors, are
oh so beautiful.
And you softly reflect light,
in your uniquely special way...
like mist in a dream, surrounding
a secrete place in your heart.
It can't be seen or touched...
only sensed with an unusual perception,
call it love.
It's the only way you can make yourself know to me,
and each thought is so delicate, and filled with meaning.
How do I begin to convey
the things you've shared with me.
This is arguably my favourite photo of this year so far. When exploring Torndirrup National Park on the south coast of Western Australia, I came across this scene which instantly sent out a "long exposure alert" in my mind. The glow of the fading light illuminated the canal between the rocks, the clouds moved quite fast in the sky and the water shimmered gently right in front of me. There was no dramatic wave action but there was just enough of water moving between the rocks to create a misty effect that I envisioned.
