A compilation of four images built in Photoshop

Images and perceptions that might easily be dismissed with a glance, a laugh, an exchange of opinions occupy him unduly; they are heightened in the silence, gain in significance, turn into experience, adventure, emotion. Solitude begets originality, bold and disconcerting beauty, poetry.

Sometimes it is all in how we perceive things. Finding understanding of others, comes with growth withing yourself.

“To change ourselves effectively, we first had to change our perceptions.” ― Stephen R. Covey

“No man has the right to dictate what other men should perceive, create or produce, but all should be encouraged to reveal themselves, their perceptions and emotions, and to build confidence in the creative spirit.” ― Ansel Adams

I've been feeling a bit subdued this week after the sudden death of a good friend. So creativity is at a bit of a low ebb.

This is for Sliders Sunday, and is a merge of some digital art knocked together yesterday in ten minutes or so on Corel Painter and a previously published image of my daughter's eyes, using both blend modes and blend ranges.

I'm afraid that's about as much as I can manage just now. I am sure the creative spark will rekindle eventually. In the meantime I wish you well...

Thank you for taking the time to look. I hope you enjoy the image. Happy Sliders Sunday!

I'll post links to the painting and the image in the first comment.

A capture of a moment of pure perception. In the central area of the water reflections, the shape of a female portrait is clearly outlined, transforming the water into a mirror of a passing thought. An image that shows that beauty, sometimes, is in the eye and mind of the beholder

Some people are noticeably broken while others you can not see their broken.

I see you as you are,

with your subtle flaws...

but your colors, are

oh, so beautiful.

And you softly reflect light,

in your uniquely special way...

like mist in a dream, surrounding

a secrete place in your heart.

It can't be seen or touched...

only sensed with an unusual perception,

call it a mystery.

It's the only way you can make yourself know to me,

and each thought is so delicate and filled with meaning.

How do I begin to convey

the things you've shared with me.

Lettre sur les Aveugles ll, 1974

About the title of this painting:

"Diderot's celebrated Lettre sur les aveugles à l'usage de ceux qui voient ("Letter on the Blind") (1749), introduced him to the world as a daringly original thinker. The subject is a discussion of the interrelation between man's reason and the knowledge acquired through perception (the five senses)." Wikipedia

“It is entirely possible that behind the perception of our senses, worlds are hidden of which we are unaware.” ~Albert Einstein

A refreshing and calming color combination of blue shades and white with a sense of serenity and tranquility in a minimalist perception. Shot from Dahab seashore during low tide.
