Perceptions Between Police & The Community,” Fowler said that while crime in the city is down, shots fired and murder incidents are up. He said residents can help police by reporting criminal activity and by communicating constructively.

“I may be a lot of things,

but clairvoyant, I am not,” Fowler told the group.

A portion of the American flag, back lit and shot from behind as metaphor for perceptions and misperceptions of the United States, its people and policies during the Bush Administration.

Gradients and the perception of depth by suz854

The is one of my own paintings that I found as an example of a gradient perception of depth. Keeping the front plane consistently stark pushes the distance as seen through the windows. The repeated shapes of the trees and bushes past the darkened wall create a gradual gradient effect that leads into the far landscape. The consistent gradations of color and light add to the gradated effect that the bushes and trees have on the space.
