In my minds eye there are playful ribbons leading to the edge of a young forest. There are tall buildings in the background and a white winter sky.
In actuality, the buildings are evergreens and the ribbons are price tags and somewhere back there is a huge greenhouse. : )

Perception
My friend has said how we perceive ourselves is far different than how others perceive us. I think there is wisdom in that statement. I think a mirror distorts our image, so much so that we are never happy with what we see, or what we PERCEIVE to see!
Recent brief on perception of place, influenced by the notion of everchanging perception due to many factors and the environment we are in, etc. 35mm black and white film.
For taking this photo inspires me my three y. o. nephew. Little kids have more sensitive perception than adults. And I trust that they can see stuff outside of "our" world. My nephew said hello to a dark hall without people in this old burned house. It makes my flesh creep. I used this photo in my portfolio because I like the composition even when is too dark.
Love these shots through the sculpture at Kerry Park. I wish I could remember the name or the artist!

Further exploring the possibilities of eliminating sight from my art work, I found that I was still able to create an asymmetrically balanced piece. There is variety amongst the forms which also creates movement within the piece itself. Without the restraints of my sight to control the composition, I was able to ascertain a level of organic unity I had never experienced before with my work.
