Red Admiral Butterflies continuously visit our Buddleia, this year and I go back to the tree regularly to see which pollinators I could capture there. When this pretty Red Admiral suddenly appeared from behind a flower, I found the sight very nice and worth a picture or two :)

This bee was walking around this chicory gathering pollen. I believe that it is a mining bee.

Have I said how much I like the eye detect in the R5?

Really not a good shot, just showing how fun it is shooting birds I would never get before.

I often wonder how many eyes are watching me when I'm sitting on a meadow. Most of these eyes are very well hidden but I noticed these lovely blue ones looking at me from behind a blade of grass. They belonged to a white-legged damselfly (also called blue featherleg), one of the most common damselflies around here.

We went for a hike in the Mount Baker area. All day, Mount Baker played Peek a Boo in the clouds. For a few moments, the mountain emerged. By the time we got to a spot with a better view, the mountain had disappeared again. Mountains can be uncooperative that way sometimes.
