Bob is actually a she, and she’s been our friend for over a year now. She usually comes to the back deck and peers in the window at us, occasionally jumping at the window to get our attention. If we are out on the back deck, she is incessant in her acquisition of peanuts from us.

But she has discovered that the front door is sometimes also a place where we can be found.

Today I walked home, opened the door, and dropped my backpack on the counter. I heard a slight noise and turned to see her sitting on the threshold, looking at me expectantly…..”Hey, Lady…..got any peanuts?”

Hang on a moment Bob, I’ll go get you some….please don’t come in any farther.

Eventually I had to shut the door because she was relentless in her quest. There just doesn’t seem to be a limit to what she will request. She will eat some, and then start carrying anything extra off to bury it, and then repeat the process over and over and over until we go inside and close the door. Then she often peers in the window and makes us feel guilty.

She’s kinda sweet though.

Just a silly phrase I'm going through 3

Schroeder plays the piano to his adoring crowd... Lucy's.

For five summers after Schulz’s death in 2000, artists all over Saint Paul designed and displayed individual renditions of Peanuts characters. Over two million people from all fifty states flocked to this tribute to Schulz. The first year featured statues of solely Snoopy, the second Charlie Brown, the third Lucy, followed by Linus, and finally Snoopy with Woodstock. - Stpaul.gov

This was one of the first things I shared way back at the beginning of my Flickr career, but A) it's long dropped off the 200 pic count ages ago and B) this is a better version with the digital camera

The Franklin is a porcelain figure from Hallmark from 2000. I lucked out with him at that size, since there's never been a Memory Lane Peanuts figure...as far as I know

a few days ago i chanced on a along queue of people. at first i thought they were lining up for transport but to my surprise it turned out to be peanuts. after some probing and queries i was told that the peanuts from this vendor was very good. i guess it must be because some buyers were on line for more than 15 minutes. so why not give it a try then? after about 10 minutes i finally got to buy my peanuts. oh, i also decided to buy some for the family. when i got home i gave my special peanuts a try and found it to be, hmmmm peanuts. nothing extraordinary. i got my son and my wife to try it and got the same reaction. then my daughter, all thought the same... just peanuts. this is my story of the ""popular peanuts""

Best thing in winters :)

This is Lucy. She is a new model, so please be kind to her. She works for peanuts and although she is new she is a Diva, in fact she thinks she owns the place.

Meet Skippy… Captain Creepy’s new girlfriend ;D Everyday when Capt comes home from work, she bounds down our driveway after him because she knows he’s going to give her peanuts. She’s very friendly and takes the peanuts right from his hand!!

When waiting for anything, a bag of nuts can help you kill time

St. Paul is known as the hometown of Charles M Schulz, creator of the comic strip, Peanuts, and statues of the characters are scattered all over town.

I left the container of peanuts on the deck safter getting tired of continually putting them out for the squirrels and jays...I was surprised at how persistent the jays were and they emptied the container, going through lots of crazy antics in the process..

Members of the We're Here group are celebrating Peanuts 67th birthday today and I'm being silly again.

Here's a bright, colorful shot to start the weekend off on a happy note! I really love the idea of a pop like this, but I know that I would never hold on to one of these long enough to even come close to finishing it. I bet it taste really good, though!

This was taken in Dorney Park, in Allentown, Pennsylvania.
