With this version, I drew the figures of us three in pen and then scanned it to the computer, where I coloured it in on Photoshop.

Here in Kingaroy are massive silos storing our future peanut paste and peanut butter. Australia processes some 60000 tonnes of peanuts annually, 90% grown in Queensland. The Peanut Company of Australia runs this processing facility in the middle of town supplying great tasting peanuts, peanut oil and the peanut ingredients for snack foods, peanut butter and paste etc. Each of these three buildings house 31 silos (total 63) each holding 200 tonnes of peanuts and there are another 36 bins holding 100 tonnes each, that’s a lot of nuts. The silos are 42 metres high, the first being started in 1938.

They were having a squabble (as usual) over the peanuts but the blue jay on the right managed to grab a peanut before getting pecked.

Peanuts is the other little critter sharing the aquarium with Roscoe. They are both girls but, were named before anyone knew that, so, they were given a purple wheel to run in. It was decided that the names would remain the same. They don't seem to mind.

Picked up these “Date Books” by Determined Productions last year. Most feature phototype revivals of wood type, as was popular in the 1960s–70s. I also have a bunch of their small square cookbooks and Peanuts books. Will post soon.

I've been playing around lately with this old 50mm manual focus lens...a Pentax-A 50/1.4. I really like the way it way it renders colors. Also, I did something totally geeky a while back, which was to install a nice focusing screen on my Pentax K5 that makes it much easier to reliably manually focus...I have to say, it is an improvement.

Hi good folk and yes I am back at last , for nearly two weeks now it has been one issue after another including no internet ( new router required ! ) . I just hope all the bad ju-ju is coming to an end !

I will try and look at the pics I have missed by you all but not sure if I will have a chance to comment on them all .

Back to business - as you can see a ring necked parakeet popped in for breakfast , or was it lunch ? Anyway , cranked off a few shots with the nearest camera and this was the last one of the series .

Good to be back and hope all is well with you all .

I know this is an illegal off season post, but I was excited to thank Eartha for telling me about this...last May? we were at Target Sunday looking at the Halloween stuff and at the last minute I remembered she had told me about this shower curtain. I didn't expect it to still be there after all this time but there it was!

Scrub Jays are easy to train. Just set a few peanuts out at the same time every day and it doesn't take long for them to get the idea. I think I gave them 100 lbs in a year. The next year, I spent all my time picking peanuts off the roof, from under rocks, out of rain gutters and picking up shells the dogs had found. Jays don't like you taking their hidden stash!

Due to cold weather in Lubbock recently, I haven't been outside much this week. But I made up for lost time by walking the dog today. While the dog and I were going through the neighborhood, I saw this Halloween decoration of Sally from the Peanuts comics.
