Bond Falls Paulding Michigan. This picture was taken April 29th and is what Bond Falls looks like in early spring. there was not much color just the beauty of the falls. The picture below was taken in late October of last year when Bond Falls was dressed in all her autumn beauty from the same POV. Two seasons at beautiful Bond Falls.
Whenever my wife and I want a little piece of heaven we head to Bond Falls in Paulding MI. especially in the Fall because this place takes your breath away . We spent 2 hours looking at this scene before we sadly had to leave. Bond Falls is a Cascade waterfall on the middle branch of the Ontonagon River, a few miles east of Paulding in southern Ontonagon County in the Western Upper Peninsula of Michigan. The total drop of the falls is about 50 feet. Print Size 13x19 inches.

There is just something about a waterfall in winter. With the snow and ice formations and the sounds of water cascading everywhere. Turns a cold Winter day into a thing of Beauty.

I wanted to get as close as I could to lower Bond Falls so everyone could see and feel and maybe hear the power of mother nature as I did. I got pretty wet from the spray of the ice cold water but it was worth it to capture this scene forever.

Winter is not complete without a trip to Bond Falls located in Paulding Michigan. My son Matt (Mister Crowley) to flickr members made a special trip to visit us and also to go to Bond Falls because he had never seen it in winter. We spent 2 hours here and never saw another person the whole time. There is just something about seeing this amazing place when it is frozen and to hear the roar of the water as it cascades down. We had a very special time in a real winter wonderland.

The Old Paulding County Jail is located at 112 S. Williams St. Paulding, Ohio, 45879. It was contracted to be built in 1874. There was no railroad passing through the town at that time, the cost of getting the stone and others materials was pretty great and more difficult and work had progressed rather slowly. The building was not completed until 1876 at a cost of $25,000.
The basement is cut of limestone, above which are two stories of brick and stone trimmings. It was constructed on the most modern and improved plans, and it was regarded as one of the most securest jails and most convenient sheriff's residences in northwestern Ohio.
The sheriff and their families lived at the jail until 1977 after which no other sheriff lived at the jail.
The jail operated and served the Village of Paulding until 2006 after which was used as County storage until 2013.
In 2013 the jail was set for demolition which caused public outcry within the residents causing the County to offer the jail up for sale. The Jail was then purchased by Jeff and Cassie Hollis of All Trades Historical Restorations LLC. They began the restoration process of the building. During their work they discovered an area that had been bricked over in the basement and they started to remove this wall and found walkways and hidden cells. They uncovered what was thought to be lost evidence of the old unsolved murder case of Nancy Eagleson who was murdered over 50 years ago. Their company being based in the state of Florida made it difficult to continue maintaining and restoring the property, so Jeff and Cassie offered the jail up for sale in March 2015. After viewing the jail with my group members and family, I (Shelly)purchased the jail in April 2015. It is our plan to restore the jail and give back to the community in way of having the jail serve as a museum featuring historical information about the jail, past sheriffs and cases with part of the jail serving as a paranormal research center as we have found this jail to be very paranormally active
My wife Marshia and I took a 50 mile trip to Bond Falls located near Paulding in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan to see this amazing place in the winter again. We spent over 3 hours listening to the roar of water as it cascaded over many different waterfalls located here. It was a beautiful day and we had the waterfalls all to ourselves because we never saw another person all the time we were there. Now how cool was that. Priceless

Here are two views of the lower falls at Bond Falls near Paulding in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. The lower falls are separated into 2 large waterfalls. This photo is of the left side and the other photo is of the right side. This is the most water we have seen coming over the falls in all the times we have been here. The roar of the water and the beauty of this amazing place leaves one quite speechless to say the least. Hope everyone enjoys these photos of this amazing place.
