For this project especially I was trying to capture different contrasts of light while expressing it in an interesting way where they don't all look the same. This is a collage of 4 of the pictures I captured. These are each different blinds in different rooms of my house. The idea behind this project was to express that even in darkness, there is always a glimmer of light. The blinds, which are in all different angles, express the fact that sometimes, you need shifted perspective in order to see the hope.
A pathway that's in the garden. The gravel is near the decking area where the table is in one of the other photos.

This long-exposure image of flights into and out of Honolulu International Airport was taken from the balcony of my apartment on Pualei Circle in 1987-8.
Some of the hotels that line Waikiki Beach can be seen on the right side of the image..

Dating back to 710 (officially founded in 768), Kasuga Grand Shrine features 3,000 stone lanterns that line the pathway in Nara Park. Kasuga Grand Shrine is on the way, along the path connecting all of Nara Parks' most famous sites (after you pass Kofuku-ji Temple, and the Nara Museum), to Todai-ji Temple. The lanterns used to be lit every night, however, now they are only lit a few times per year; Setsubun Mantoro, Obon Mantoro, and Kasuga Matsuri. It would be a remarkable thing to see, for sure!
About 20 years ago I was on work experience at the Country Park in Daventry and this was just a pathway through a field with no trees.
The head ranger at the time asked me how I would stop people from walking off the path and trampling the grass so I told him to plant a row of trees...20 years later and it seems to have done the trick!
