From the passenger seat. A very quick overnight to Vermont. In the limited daylight hours that I had, I fell in love with the landscape here.

NW 611 ran just three days of passenger trips over the Strasburg railroad. Day one had miserable weather with pouring rain and wind from the remnants of hurricane Nicole.
With the operation of the Rocky Mountaineer train between Denver and Moab, Utah, the throb of GP40s once again reverberate off the walls of Byers Canyon west of Hot Sulphur Springs, Colo.
Named "Rockies to the Red Rocks", the Denver–Glenwood Springs, Colo.–Moab operation is the newest route in Rocky Mountaineer Tours' portfolio, and treats passengers to a once-in-a-lifetime travel experience, replete with locally inspired gourmet cuisine, top-shelf beers, wines, and cocktails delivered to their plush seats, and of course, terrific views of extraordinary scenery framed in the oversized windows of the coaches.

'Your Blind Passenger' from Olafur Eliasson's exhibition "In Real Life" at Tate Modern is a 39-metre long passageway filled with fog. You can see about 1.5 metres in front of you, and the fog changes colour as you go through. It's made from water-soluble fog fluid containing non-toxic polyols, so an interesting experience that is quite safe.

Taken nearby my home. As you can imagine, I wish I could take home all of them (except for the shepherd!).
Thanks in advance for visits and comments!

An image from last summer, when we had an unplanned extra night in Jasper due to a snowstorm, and entertained ourselves by walking around the town - in this case, the historic train station. The fellow behind the counter scurried away when I pulled out a camera but kept a close eye on us so we did not become any unwelcome passengers.
Unfortunately, we wound up with an unwelcome passenger ourselves after visiting family over the Holidays - both Lynn and I developed some pretty miserable COVID symptoms as soon as we got home again and subsequently tested positive. It's kind of taken the steam out of our train for a while but we hope to be chugging along soon!
In 1931 this airplane was introduced as the larger passenger aircraft of the "Vega" - Amelie Earharts personal plane. Today there is only a single plane of orginally 35 in existence, restored by the Fokker Team in Swiss Air livery.
I personally find it to be an absolute blast design wise and it also marked the era of modern passenger aviation, before the douglas DC3 was introduced, thus shaping what airplanes look like today.
Backing out of the roundhouse area at Marquette on October 26, 1989 is this Marquette area chamber of commerce special with WC 586 and 711 for power. They then proceeded west on a evening round trip to Champion. I know it will be sacrilege to the MILW/SDL fans but to put it mildly I was teed off the fairly fresh ex SOO 30 didn't lead this leg of the trip instead of the return leg under cover of darkness.

This is how Evie and Olive travel in the car, both wearing harnesses and strapped into seat belts. The cushion is a token barrier lol, but is more something to lean on.
I was very proud of them, lying down and no dramas, long may it continue!

NJ Transit GP40PH-2 no.s 4101 and 4109 (EMD, 1968) are seen side by side at the railroad's 40th anniversary event at Hoboken Terminal. These locomotives actually predate the railroad, having been built for the Central Railroad of New Jersey prior to NJ Transit Rail Operations taking over operation of the commuter railroads in the State of New Jersey.
