I boldly took this shot from a moving ferry as it approached the Passenger Terminal at Sydney's Circular Quay. Was surprised at what I got considering the the light and movement of the ferry.

I set out on the morning of October 18th to catch a CN passenger extra with the idea of only one shot in mind. With the RTC moving opposing traffic into sidings and an authorized speed of 60 per, keeping ahead of the extra looked impossible. After shooting the train at Wabamun I got a break when the RTC mentioned the extra would be stopping at the hamlet of Gainford to allow two people to board.
A quick rip down the highway found me at Entwistle, where a large bridge spans the Pembina River. You can shoot this from the side of the highway overpass, but its a pretty skinny shoulder on a busy highway, so I elected to launch the Cheater Chicken for the shot.
... crowd of passengers walking in the platform of underground train ...
experimenting new way of presentation, what do you think ?

SU45-018 z pociągiem osobowym 77130 "Jaćwing" z Suwałk do Warszawy Zachodniej, przed przystankiem osobowym Augustów Port. Oczywiście pociąg nie będzie osobowym do samej Warszawy - od Sokółki albo Białegostoku (nie pamiętam już, trzeba by było zajrzeć do starej "cegły") zmieni status na pospieszny. 3 maja 2001 r.

Last week I travelled through Styria - a state or Bundesland located in the southeast of Austria. Many famous people were born here. Arnold Schwarzenegger and Elfriede Jelinek are among them.
One of the exhibits at the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum at the Hamilton airport. The plane has been partially restored (sort of a before/after scenario) and the "passengers" were I thought a nice touch.

Zdjęcia kolejowe osobno kataloguję i opisuję.

Outbound passengers, gathered in wait,
For the train's arrival, they stand by the gate.
Anticipation fills the air, time seems to slow,
As they dream of destinations, where they'll soon go.
Then looking upwards
I strain my eyes and try
To tell the difference between shooting stars and satellites
From the passenger seat as you are driving me home....
Part VI of set Passenger seat {Beautiful Sabah}.
Passenger seat view.... This photo was taken on the way back from Keningau, the largest town in the interior, about 130km from Kota Kinabalu. At this point, we were going up a hill in the middle of some rain. The altitude is probably 1,500 ~ 2,000 feet. The road gets foggy by 2pm, and showers are regular and short.
This area is surrounded by the Crocker Range, the average height of which is 1,800m above sea level (that's right, about 5,400 feet). This is mainly agricultural land... paddy, vegetables, rubber, oil palm and previously, it was a timber town.
My friends, this is the Kadazan-Dusun heartland. You have not seen Sabah until you visit the 'soul' of this land. Welcome to Sabah, 'The Land Below The Wind".
Traditional kadazan dance..... this dance is pure seduction... the rhythmic sound... the twitch of the hips... the flick of the wrists...

"We meet here to commemorate the death of a species. We grieve because no living man will see again the onrushing phalanx of victorious birds, sweeping a path for spring across the March skies, chasing the defeated winter from all the woods and prairies.
The pigeon lived by his desire for clustered grape and bursting beechnut, and by his contempt of miles and seasons. Things that Wisconsin did not offer him today he sought and found tomorrow in Michigan, or Labrador, or Tennessee; to find them required only the free sky, and the will to ply his wings.
But there are fruits in this land unknown to pigeons, and as yet to most men. Perhaps we too can live by our desires to find them, and by a contempt for miles and seasons, a love of free sky, and a will to ply our wings."

Another pre-1915 vintage image showing that contrary to popular myth that all the passenger had to do was lean on the corners to distribute weight, and most importantly, push the brass plunger repeatedly, that pressurized the gas tank in the years prior to efficient mechanical or electrical fuel pumps. But he also has to deal with tires going flat in the race.
Obviously, the driver is already holding on for dear life trying the steer this behemoth (no power steering) and can't take time to push a plunger every few minutes.
Not a sport for the out of shape or the 'afraid of eminent death' crowd, that would be normal people......
