Partners from the Hershey Company and Land O'Lakes joined staff from the Alliance's Agriculture and Forests teams at Breckbill Acres in Anneville, PA, to plant trees along a tributary to Swatara Creek. Breckbill Acres is a 70 cow dairy operation supplying milk to Land O'Lakes and the Hershey Company. The trees planted along the stream will help stabilize the stream bank and filter runoff from surrounding fields.

The U.S. Army Garrison Rheinland-Pfalz Fitness, Athletics and Aquatics Program partnered with USAG RP Army Community Service for a Color 5K Fun Run May 21 at the Hall of Champions Fitness Center, Bldg. 8105 on Smith Barracks in Baumholder. This event was to support recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic. Medals for first, second and third place were awarded in the following categories: Adult male and female; youth 11 and younger male and female; and, youth 12 and older male and female. First place medals were also awarded for runners with strollers and runners with dogs. At certain places throughout the run volunteers threw color powder at runners. “Thanks to everyone who helped make this event a success: ACS, Sports, Fitness & Aquatics, German Fire Department, S/5/7, Outdoor Recreation, runners and all the sponsors,” said Rogelio Feliciano Montalvo, supervisory sports specialist with the USAG RP Fitness, Athletics and Aquatics.
