My partner bought this Minnesota North Stars tee-shirt when we were up there a couple of weeks ago. I gave her a pass because a) she grew up in North Central Iowa and the North Stars games were broadcast on the TV and b) they're a defunct team now, and I'm always game for a little nostalgia

We are partnering with the folks from Simmons Farm to use goats to help remove invasive plants that grow along the edges of our fields. Plants like multiflora rose and wineberry are sharp and difficult for staff to remove from the edges of the fields but the goats eat them all up and leave manure to help fertilize the soils. We are hoping you will be able to see the difference in the fields over the next few years as we work on our site management with funding from NRCS.

June's event was generously sponsored by a long time partner, Taproot Edmonton, Edmonton's lead source for community driven stories. Find out how you can scratch your curiousity at taprootedmonton.ca!
Our event was hosted by Roundhouse, a social innovation hub and co-working space, in Allard Hall downtown. Roundhouse has only just launched their space and we were honoured to be a part of their opening celebration.
June's speaker was the vivacious force known better as Lourdes the Merry Virgin (Jonathan Busch), a beloved local drag queen.
