Taken in Kittyhawk N.C. this was one of the last strikes of an intense storm.

I was just putting my usb cord safely in my purse and decided to see if there were any shots left in the camera. This was it. My last bird shot for a while. I thought it was perfectly fitting. haha

Moving day tomorrow. Cable guy scheduled for tomorrow afternoon. Whew!

We pause now for this brief interruption.

Gorge with a patch of broadleaved forest within the Kislovodsk national park

I've been meaning to incorporate animals into my images for quite some time now and was so excited to finally do so - I went to Pleasure Valley ranch in Uxbridge earlier this week for a creative shoot with actress and friend Tara Beier... We got to spend two hours with Ciara - a horse with the most gentle of souls. I hope to shoot more animals in the future :)

The view as you leave Indian Hill Bed and Breakfast in Tucson, AZ.

Back to Snowdonia for today's image. Took this on the last day of the trip and although we didn't get the light that we hoped for, was still a great couple of hours.

. . . The view last night from "Coyote Hill" (AKA Alden Highway) was probably the parting shot for me of Comet Neowise. It is rapidly fading from view and will not be back in any of our lifetimes! Goodbye friendly comet, we have all enjoyed you for the past few weeks!

Have a great Friday and weekend Facebook, Flickr, and 500px friends!

A sunset parting shot as we wind down the workweek. Have a great weekend, everyone!

A parting shot. On the night of my first day at the cottage I saw the an idea of a compostion to use the waterfall with the eye going upwards to the path and the gate above but struggled to see how to get it, as the bank of the gorge was a little steep. On my last morning before we left I was taken a shot of the tree with the waterfall behind, I then set off back to the cottage as we had to depart by 10:0am. After walking about 200 yards down the hill something was nagging me about the shot I had just taken so I went back to look at the composition again. Getting down in a low position on the bank and turning the camera to portrait aspect, eureka I saw the composition I was after on the first night. I just about had myself and the tripod balanced, polariser for the reflection and ND grad to stop the sky burning out, f13, 5 seconds and bingo. I set of down again happy and content. I hope you like it.

After meeting for lunch in Osier, Cumbres & Toltec's two daily trains have departed for Chama and Antonito, respectively. Seen from the rear of the Antonito-bound train, K-36 #484 is seen heading for Chama with eight cars in tow.

If there is anything special you would like from Cozumel, Belize or Honduras you should let me know soon.. -:)

My dear Flickr friends, your pictures and encouraging words have delighted and inspired me for the past four years. I´ve learned a great deal from you and have discovered photographic interests I might not otherwise be aware of. At the moment I find myself torn in too many directions to spend much time with my camera and increasingly dissatisfied with the results. It´s time for a break --I hope our paths cross again. Thank you and happy shooting! -L.

My last shot before I descend to the tent, driven back by the midge.

Strobist - SB800 snooted with home made snoot, which was made by a gaggle of snoots from snootland, above models heads on 1/32 power (just out of shot).

SB600 front via CLS bounced off of white sheet for soft front lighting.

Taken purely for a magazine front cover competition. (Sex survey result apparently) hence the implied lovin' above.

Had the opportunity to travel to the famous Thor's Well, unfortunately the weather did not bring dramatic sunrises or sets, however it did offer an extremely dramatic sea shot that I thought I would share. Thanks for looking!

A lot of you guys said you liked the Finvarra cut from the Christmas sale but due to time constraints we were not able to make any more of them. While this new method took Alex a really long time to get right, it might mean that we are able to offer them in different sizes during the Summer sale! Here's to hoping that the Minifee test goes to plan.

We're working super super late nights this week to get everything finished up for you guys and as a result have been running on a whole lot of coffee! Although we're not taking a break, I hope you guys will get to. Have a great weekend everybody!

There is a shipment going out tomorrow and anyone still waiting for photos of finished wigs will receive them this weekend.

Others that are awaiting completion early next week will receive theirs then and everything remaining will be sent out towards the end of next week c:

The moment of farewell before going to sea has been represented in many ways.

This reflects the last steps of a father and his son before that farewell, on the other hand so familiar to me.

This is a field between Caverswall and Blythe Bridge. This was my first trip out with my new Fisheye lens (15mm Sigma 2.8) and I have to say I love it, I think the sun burst is great!

Any thoughts?

Bamboo on the way to the Pangani Jungle Trek trail. Seems kind of wistful with the deep shadow, and I guess I'm in a wistful mood today.

Maybe after the first of the year I can stay caught up with everybody, but the last quarter of this year has been really busy with work.

Queen Anne's Lace as it goes to seed, like slow-motion fireworks.

Probably the last time I will have access to my Jacob Street scheme. A final visit to complete as-built drawings coincides with a sunny interval showing the brilliant colours to their best effect. Only with the iPhone on me on this trip though but the hipstamatic effects real set the place off beautifully. I am particularly fond of the angular shadows framing it from below

The Hamilton Yard job on this particular day has set off a string of cars in Stelco and is scene here passing MANA on the way out of the vast complex.

My Royal Enfield Himalayan and I are parting ways, so this is one of the last photos I took. I rode into the South Fremantle Power Station for a couple of photos.

Finally.....the finale. 4 days from now we turn the page on this chapter of our lives.....leaving Hyderabad, India to return to Amherst, Ohio. We have definitely made the most of our time, but it is time to return to the comforts of home.....new experiences are fun and exciting, but there's just no substitute for friends and family.

After a week of gray skies and drizzle, Alaska treated us to a sunny day and sent us off with a brilliant sunset.
