ex-circus truck belonging to now defunct Cirkus Dannebrog. Residue of the removed letters can still be seen on the roof spoiler.

Now unmarked, but I have a pretty good idea of a possible owner.

The rear axle looks a bit silly, maybe it used to pull the trailer of the circus clowns? :)

Going up the steep hill leading sw out of Aarhus past Viby and Stautrup. Underpowered and/or heavily loaded trucks often struggle here.

We took some of our students to visit a soy sauce factory. The tour through the factory included many historical displays for both that particular business, but also for the history of soy sauce making.

While the fog did nothing but enhance this particular photo, in general, it sucked. The lighthouse on the Island was entirely invisible, for example, and any photo taken this day back toward the mainland and the intervening Islets and rocks, would show nothing but a blank gray expense. Excepting when I was really close, it didn't exactly help when photographing birds, either. Oh well. One must simply work with the cards nature deals you.

Anyone out there planning a trip to Iceland that includes visiting the east coast--I cannot recommend this excursion enough. The little ferry leaves the village of Djupivogur and it takes about an hour to get to Papey, then a guide shows you around the Island--visiting bird cliffs where photographing puffins and other bird species is good. You visit this old church as well, and are given a history of the Island. I should note that the trip out there can be a bit brutal--i.e., the water can be a bit rough. Several of us got seasick with at least two who gave up their lunch to the sea. I personally got sick but without any upchucking. Although some of us were wondering if it was worth it initially, in the end I believe it was unanimous that it HAD been. Come prepared with some anti-motion sickness pills if prone to that kind of thing.

As mentioned in the other photo, this is the oldest (and smallest) surviving wooden church in Iceland--built in 1807.

This particular Monday afternoon, the wind was really blowing out on the plains. Most of the day, the winds were at least 30 MPH sustained, and that number often got up to 40-50 MPH. Fortunately, it wasn't too cold, but the wind was a bit of a challenge. Evidence of the wind is quite clear in this shot of this NKCR manifest pulling into the east end of Holyoke (pronounced "hole-ee-oak"). A long piece of plastic wrap got stuck on the coupler of OMLX 419, and it is blowing wildly in the wind.

Encontrarse con un 4 patas de Pegaso vivo es muy dificil !! aún así en Chile, en donde abundan aún bastantes Pegaso... a este personalmente nunca lo había visto y me alegra que siga con vida y por supuesto, con su configuración original, la cual en muchas ocasiones la hicieron desaparecer... el pasado de esta máquina es muy interesante también, otro Ex Gemita ! seguramente tenia carroceria cerrada antes... todo un acierto ! felicitaciones al dueño de esta hermosa joya !!! ojala luzca por muchos años mas en las carreteras del hermoso Chilito !
