I stopped at this parking structure hoping to get a good city view from the top level. I thought the inside of the structure was actually more interesting than the city view.

A view off of the Greektown Casino parking structure. Had a nice dinner at Nikki's with the girls, met Dani's boyfriend in from Colorado, gambled a little, lost a little. :-)

When the Opera / Old Modernist Music Center's tiny underground parking is full, you are sent through an underground passage into the courthouses' & government complex's underground massive parking, and exiting with a standard transmission in heavy traffic at times seems impossible on the spiral steep ramps, the only exits.

The parking garage at the Museumpark in Rotterdam, The Netherlands, has a rather intimidating entry. It's just like entering the mouth of Peter Benchley's Jaws. Being swallowed in its dark and hidden belly.
The Jaws' belly offers room to 1,150 cars, of which approximately 900 are intended for visitors and employees of the adjacent Erasmus Medical Center. This university hospital will be renewed and expanded in several stages in the upcoming years. The remaining 250 parking spaces are intended for residents and visitors to museums and other institutions and events in the area of the Museumpark.
The design of the parking garage is orientated at an optimal integration in the park-like landscape. In addition, users of the garage should feel safe and quickly at ease. The design of architect Paul de Ruiter (associated with OMA) ensures numerous voids, glass staircases and slender steel columns for light, air, space and transparency.
The design provides for three parking levels, combined with an underground water storage. The project was commissioned by the Rotterdam Development Company, under contract management of Public Works. It was built by Strukton and finished in 2010.
A new McDonald's restaurant in Amsterdam in a typical former Bijlmer parking structure which will be transformed to a street food market hall which will be opened in May 2015 under the name World of Food. McDonald's has given itself a prominent place in the food market with a restaurant featuring a Drive-Thru and with direct access to the market as well as access from the outside when the World of Food is closed. The 242th restaurant in the Netherlands is well visible from the Gooiseweg (express road between A9 Gaasperdam and A10 Oost). The franchisee is Robbert-Jan Somers (McSomel) who already operates McDonald's restaurant in Diemen, Hilversum, Bussum and Amersfoort (2).

One of the things in NYC that I've never really seen anywhere else is fantastic neon signs that adorn so many of the buildings.
