The Hard Rock Cafe makes it easy to overlook this historic building, but this is where the Dramatists Guild has its offices.
I took these shots int he balcony at the Paramount Theater in Austin during the Summer Movie series. We were waiting for "I Walked with a Zombie", which was much better than the title would lead you to believe.

Finally...I've been waiting forever to get a shot of this fully lit up. The "ount" looks burnt out, and the neon lights no longer work. It's sad they don't want to restore this. And even though I took this in a low exposure setting, the sign turned out a bit bright.
I know it's not the one you see in the opening credits to a Paramount Picture movie but it so reminded me of it (taken 29.11.10) - if my photoshop application hadn't gone on the blink, I would've put a circle of stars on it.

This is a photo of a window in the Paramount theater in the downtown Denver business district. It was built by Temple Buell for Publix Theaters in 1930. The interior is supposed to be an excellent example of Zig-Zag Art Deco. I'm not sure that I'm happy with this picture, yet.
